Hi all, I was searching for some Japanese TV show portraying Sengoku period.
Found this clip of Battle of Sekigahara 1600, right when that betrayer decide to betray.
Battle starts around 2:00. No subtitles, but you guys would at least recognize those clan logo.

The production is quite serious, with cavalry, firearms and everything.
Also, on the right side there are clips of other battles.

Wow I just had this weird feeling... I was watching and I could recognize the phrases and speeches from the video to the game.

CA is a big fan of the late Kurosawa, they use footage from RAN in the original TOTAL WAR. that is what u call EPIC.

I think they used WWII footage more. The banzai scenes are hilarious and ... good. I think NHK dramas are a bit sanitized in that they are afraid to show more hard-core aspects of Japanese culture.
