Default cd key duplicated [Solution - Do Not Create a New STEAM account for reinstallation]

    salve
    grazie mille
    cordiali saluti

    Hi!
for some problems I had to format my cumputer thus losing all data since I created a new accoun.
when I try to install steam Total War: Shogun 2 after entering the cd key to me is a sign that says "cd key duplicated. This code was already included in another account steam"
now how do I retrieve the cd key and install the game peacefully?
    thank you very much
    Yours sincerely

If you already used the CD-key to bind it to you Steamaccount, you wouldn't have to give the key again to begin with. You just have to install it with the discs or download it directly from your Steam library.

I think you have to use the old account. If you have forgotten the details there is a button on the Steam Sign-In to retrieve details of lost accounts.

Idd, you'll have to use your old account to play the game.

Steam games are litteraly binded to a certain steam account. Unlike 8 years ago, most games these days using these digital platforms, use a digital storage to store your bought games on your account. Thus, if you want to install games on a new PC for example, you''ll need to log in on the account you bought the game for.
