Install from disc

Somebody please help me because im going mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a retail version of Napoleon, but everytime i try to install from disc, steam starts downloading entire game.

Ive tried the run, and enter c:\program files (x86)\steam\steam.exe -install E: option but it still does the same thing and will not install from disc.

Have you got Steam turned off when you run the install E option?

I have exited from steam if thats what you mean??

And when i try to install, the game automatically starts steam and logs in

Yes, it was.
The only other thing I can think is to check that E: is the drive with the disc in it, and that the disc is properly seated.

Checked all that...still doing the same.... i'm gonna record whats happening on my screen and post on here in a minute, in case it helps

Try to stop the download on steam by
-> delete local content of *GAME* on steam
->exit steam
->put in Cd1
-> press start button
-> and depending on your OS and where you have steam installed and whats your dvd-drive letter type in the "run" box "c:\program files (x86)\steam\steam.exe -install E:"
