I deleted everything in the scripts folder to try and fix the legal/splash screen. I reinstalled the game and the scripts are still gone. Does anyone know how to get them back? The game still doesn't work either....![]()

The scripts should re-create themselves once you actually launch the game successfully.

Incredibar is malware that is difficult to detect via antivirus/anti-malware software. It is one of the main causes of the splash screen crash. The best way to see if it is the cause is to access regedit, and search for Incredibar.

Try going to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2 and delete the following folders:
army_setups
battle_preferences
fx_cache
ui_cache
Scripts
If that does not work, exit Steam, then try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam and deleting the following:
AppUpdateStats.blob
ClientRegistry.blob
Then restart Steam (it will update) and try to validate Shogun 2. See if that helps.
