Hello! Patch 9 is now live! Patch 9 brings further enhancements and improvements to performance, unit behaviours, unit balancing and much more. Please visit the Total War wiki for the full list. You can find the patch notes by clicking (here)!

Please consider uninstalling all Mods (until confirmed compatible from the mod creator) before playing and you may wish to start a new campaign to see the full effect of all balance changes.

Patch 9 is Build 9414.489846 - if you opted into the beta, you will not have to update your game.

If you experience any issues - PLEASE do not post in this thread but take them over to the Support Forums (here) where you may be properly assisted!

Thank you!

How CA made a serious franchise a farce:
Beasts of War: Can we get moles to dig under enemy walls. A turn lasts a year so im sure whilst besieging that would give those critters enough time to dig their way under a wall. It would also help the AI out when attacking a city.

That sums it up pretty much.

Please be patient if the wiki is taking time for you to load! I believe we have a lot of people trying to access it at the same time, allow the server some time to load. :)

This is for all of CA.

I forgive the bad launch now. Rome II is a 9/10 in my books :) I know I'm just one insignificant person, but I hope other forum dwellers share similar opinions

I have been using the beta patch. Do I need to do anything to get Patch 9 (such as remove the beta)?

    Patch 9 Build is 9414.489846.
If you were opted into the beta, you will not have to update (as two hotfixes were implemented already).

Awesome, can't wait to get home and try out the latest patch. Already finished my Carthage campaign, and currently doing Rome in Caesar in Gaul. I'll go back to the main campaign to do a Macedon campaign with all these new patches.

Hmmm, the "land_units" table (and all changed tables) still seem to be red/unreadable in the pfm after downloading the patch? I thought it wouldn't be, allowing me to update various mods? Or have I missunderstood? :)

Whenver a new DLC comes out, you will have it under that button, along with the number of DLCs you have not yet installed. It's like an email inbox, showing the number of unread messages. a sleek move by CA, to tempt players, I must say.

Hi Trish i opted for patch 9 beta but game was freezing on startup screen so i went back for patch 8.1 to continue my old saved campaign and yes i'm using some mods.

I assume i have to start a new campaign cause now patch 9 will auto update?

    Thanks for your support.

From what ive read of the beta, it seems a good patch.

I may start playing again.......but i still want a better UI and unit battle cards etc.

You need to download the latest schema for PFM. daniu has put a link to it on the PFM thread. Been there for a while xD
