Legendary Co-op Doesn't Autosave Properly

On legendary co-op campaign the game doesn't autosave pre-battle the way it does in singleplayer. This is a total nightmare in a WRE-ERE campaign where you could be seeing 5-15 battles between turns, with effectively no way to save your progress, forcing you to load back up the "end of turn" autosave.

    It is also a nightmare when you and your coop partner de sync after that fifteenth battle, effectively forcing you to sluggishly relight them all over again
