'No Art' games

I'm completely new to the Total War franchise, and most of the multiplayer games I've tried to join say 'no art'. I have no idea what this means so if someone could tell me that would be great xD

art as in artillery aka onagers and stuff :O

One more question, does that include all ranged units or only onagers and ballistas?

only the siege units, so onagers, heavy onagers and ballista
