Total War Attila crashing on steam for mac

I just recently bought Total War Attila on steam for a macbook pro. It successfully opens the application and the sounds and video work fine, however every time the I click on 'Start Prologue' or if I try to start a new campaign once the loading screen is over it just closes. I have tried it several different times and I tried to alter the graphics in hopes of fixing the problem but it still doesn't seem to work. Thanks a lot!

Hi, saw your thread and started Attila up on my mac through steam to see if i got the same problem (I hadn't played it for a while). Anyway, the game started fine for me but was quite slow for sure (compared to running in windows). I tried the prologue (battle of oblisk or something).

I'm running on a 2012 macbook pro retina, 16gb Ram and 1gb video mem.

    I hope this helps
