You have incompatible versions?

Hello,

Me and my friend have bought "Total war Shogun 2" with the expansion "Fall of the samurai" the 13th of September 2015 on steam, it was a deal of 8 items for 45 euros. I am playing currently on a macbook pro 15 inch (newest version) and my friend is playing on a portable pc (that runs the game without problems). Now the problem is that when we try to play the game together online (multiplayer) we get a message saying that we have incompatible versions. I have been reeding some forums but the normal issue are the "modds", but we haven't downloaded or installed these, because we recently bought the game so we could play together.

If anybody could help me solve this problem, i would really appreciate it.

The PC and Mac versions are different, therefore incompatible for multiplayer. The Mac version was developed and published by Feral Interactive https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/mac-games/shogun2tw/

Is there any way of getting this working? or is it just imposible?

It's impossible, unless you run Windows on the Macbook, which Shogun II technically doesn't support, but it's the best bet you've got.

I have the same problem, but in this case me and my son are both using MacBooks; can someone help?
