Hello CA! I realize you are all fully occupied with Total war:Warhammer. We Total war fans are really looking forward to it. Despite all that I want to ask you for one, just ONE final patch for Shogun 2 and Shogun 2: Fall of the samurai multiplayer. Free patch or DLC doesn't matter really, all Shogun 2 fans would acquire a new DLC for sure. There are still a lot of players playing multiplayer of Shogun 2 amd Fall of the samurai. I wrote everything what should be done and just ask you to implement my notes to the game. Please CA can you make this as a Christmas present to all Shogun 2 fans since we haven't got any patches or content for a very long time?

So here are my notes for both Shogun 2 and Shogun 2: Fall of the samurai multiplayer.
Final Shogun 2 FOTS Patch (multiplayer only). Following should be done:
- Fix the bug of shogunate and imperial infantry of having muzzle-loading animation while using breach-loading rifles which reduces their rate of fire drastically
- Revolver cavalry cap should be reduced from 4 to 2 per an army, cost should be increased from 1000 to 1050
- Maximum amount of line infantry units should be capped at 10 per an army
- Maximum amount of red bear infantry units should be capped at 4 per an army to prevent spam of that infantry type
- Tosa Riflemen, Sharpshooters, Yugekitai: Suppression Fire ability should be added to list of upgrades for veteran units to acquire at lvl 1
- Azure Dragon Force : Price should be decreased from 760 to 750
- Imperial Guard Infantry: Price should be decreased from 1280 to 1260
- Kiheitai: Reload speed should be increased from 40 to 45 and morale should be increased from 10 to 12
- White Tiger Force: Reload Speed should be increased from 15 to 20, Accuracy should be increased from 15 to 20
- Gatling guns: Price should be lowered from 1400 to 1000.
- Yari Kachi: Rapid advance should be added in the list of clan skill upgrades, so lvl 5 Yari Kachi units can be upgraded with it for 70 koku cost clan upgrade
- Shoghitai: Banzai should be added in the list of clan skill upgrades, so lvl 5 shoghitai units can be upgraded with it for 120 koku cost clan upgrade
- Shintsengumi Police Force: Banzai should be added in the list of clan skill upgrades, so lvl 5 shintsengumi units can be upgraded with it for 120 koku cost clan upgrade
- Shogunate Guard Cavalry: Price should be lowered from 1200 to 1050
- Kyoto Police: Price should be lowered from 700 to 650
- Kisho ninja: Price should be lowered from 990 to 790
- Bow Kachi: Price should be lowered from 650 to 600
- Matchlock Kachi: Rapid Volley and Fire by Rank Abilites cost should be reduced from 120 to 70
- Avatar unit speed should be increased to 10 (the speed level of sabre cavalry, carbines and etc.)
- Bow Ki and Samurai Hero: Increased Range ability should be possible to upgrade with at lvl 9 if in bow spec clan. At the current state of the game it’s impossible to upgrade Bow Ki and Samurai Hero with 175 Range (the ability won’t just unlock)
- Heroic Assault ability for full Bushido general should get a time buff of at least 5 seconds
- The reset skill points button should be added for marine units and samurai hero unit so players are able to refund and relocate skill points they invested for fair price of 5 clan tokens
- Fix the bug of having clan specialism upgrade on a level 8 unit and having 2 specialism upgrades on 1 level 9 units
- All glitched retainers(von Clausewitz’s “On War”, Light Infantry Officer, Mouldly Feed Stocks, Zen-Like Silence, Experienced Ironclad crew, Yumi officer) that can’t be unlocked should be either removed from the game or unlocked for everyone




Final Shogun 2 (vanilla) Patch (multiplayer only). Following should be done:
- The reset skill points button should be added for all DLC and hero units so players are able to refund and relocate skill points they invested for fair price of 5 clan tokens
- Fix the bug of having clan specialism upgrade on a level 8 unit and having 2 specialism upgrades on 1 level 9 units
- Players should be given the possibility to get their avatars diamond prestige(now you can only have gold star avatar) so they can have more slots for veterans
- Number of cavalry units should be capped at 8 per an army to prevent cavalry spam in multiplayer
- Number of yari ashigaru units should be capped at 5 per an army to prevent yari wall spam
- Donderbass cavalry: damage should be reduced
- Heavy gunners: Price should be lowered from 1100 to 900
- Marathon Monks: Price should be lowered from 1250 to 1050
- Naginata Warrior Monk Cavalry: Bonus vs Cavalry should be increased by 4 per a point (right now it's 3 per a point and it's not enough for Naginata Warrior Monk cavalry to be cost effective unit)
- Kiyomasa’s Katana Cavalry (Katana Cavalry Hero): no penalty vs spears ability should be added to list of clan skill upgrades so players of cavalry specialization clans can upgrade their Kiyomasa’s Katana Cavalry with this ability at lvl 9 for 20 clan tokens
- Bow Hero: armor piercing ability (for arrows) should be added to list of clan skill upgrades so players of bow specialization clans can upgrade their Bow Hero with this ability at lvl 9 for 20 clan tokens
- Naginata Warrior Monk Hero: stand and fight should be added to list of clan skill upgrades so players of spear specialization clans can upgrade their Naginata Warrior Monk Hero with this ability at lvl 9 for 20 clan tokens
- Onna Bushi and Mounted Samurai Hero: number of men (women) in the unit should be increased from 18 to 24
- Yoritomo’s Yabusame Cavalry: Price should be lowered from 1300 to 1200, armor piercing ability (for arrows) should be added to list of clan skill upgrades so players of bow specialization clans can upgrade their Yoritomo’s Yabusame Cavalry with this ability at lvl 9 for 20 clan tokens
- Tokitaka’s Tanegashima: Price should be lowered from 900 to 850
- Katana Samurai: upgrading defense of veterans units should give +3 defence per a point instead of just +2
- Warrior Nuns: Price should be lowered from 800 to 750
- Bow samurai: price should be reduced from 700 to 600
- Foot Samurai: Price should be reduced from 600 to 500
- Bow warrior monks and Daykiyu samurai: price should be lowered from 1100 to 1050
- Rapid Volley and Fire by Rank Abilites cost for matchlocks should be reduced from 120 to 70
- All legendary and non-legendary retainer drop rate should be increased by at least 100 %
- Legendary Banner retainer doesn't work and should be fixed
- Drill Square retainer should be fixed because at the current state of the game it doesn’t work at all
- Unbalanced spear retainer should give -3 defense to enemy spear and naginata units instead of -2 to just spear units

    Unfortunately this will never happen. Shogun 2 is 4, nearly 5 years old. Literally ancient history. CA aint gonna touch it.

    But we can still dream.

    I believe in miracles! And also I wrote everything that should be done, some obvious stuff really, so CA don't need to waste time figuring out what the patch should be. What they need to do is to implement my notes to the game and an experienced programmer could do this in several hours, and CA got plenty of this kind of programmers. They fixed Shogun 2 servers recently and I am really thankful for that. So hope still remains.

    I like all these changes, I hope CA implements them. I mean 1 developer could make this changes and all it would take is day or two. Even I can make mod to make most of these changes...

    Yea I think this patch could change much things cuz now game is a bit static due to his lack of Maintenance by CA

    I agree with changes that are listed above. Shogun 2 needs new touch in game, beacuse right now some units are unbalanced and rarey used in battle. This patch would get new players to play the game and it would also brought old players who are in desire for changes. I really hope CA will read this and make something happened.

    I have been asking for a Retainer for the gun cavalry in the Avatar Campaign since day one. Still nothing.
    3 Kingdoms is a great game campaign wise. Make ranked battles in Records mode. Until that is done it won't be complete.
    Gun Cav in Shogun II should have a Retainer!
    Give us another Avatar Campaign!

    Now when Total War Shogun 2 has become an ESL discipline I again ask Creative assembly to patch Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai according to my notes that written above, those notes were reviewed by many professional players from Shogun 2 multiplayer community.

    Old and bad Rome 2 still getting patches and DLCs. And Shogun 2 is completely abandoned. I ask you CA, why can't you patch the best game of TW series?! Release a DLC for god sake. So many players will come back and all the current ones will buy it gladly. Still quite a lot of players are in the game, waiting for miracle I guess. You should treat the precious games like Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai accordingly, like Padadox does with their games. Please make just one final patch and one DLC. I know it's no big deal for you.

    Well if we ever get more patches and updates for Shogun 2, specially for the multiplayer, then i have a long list of issues that should be adressed to some degree at least:

    1st:
    It goes without saying that paid DLC should had never been allowed in a competitive multiplayer game.
    Those who buy Rise of the Samurai, Sengoku Jidai, Saints and Heroes or the Ikko Ikko DLC all get more powerfull and cost eficient units, not to mention a lot of very powerfull exclusive retainers! Thus puting anyone who does not pay for the DLCs at a handicap.
    Diferent time period units should not have been mixed toguether neither, this takes away from immersion.

    2nd:
    Capping units... This should have been done with all units in my opinion. No one should be allowed to field an entire army of the same exact unit, making certain retainers extremely OP and making said build very hard to counter with anything other than an specialized anti-build.
    All units should have been capped at around 6(some, specially monks, at even less), as well as having a Unit-Class cap too, like for example max 8 calv, max 8 swords, etc, etc thus forcing melle spamers and in particular cav spamers to at least mix up their units a little; A unit and class cap would also automatically balance out certain retainers selection.

    3rd:
    On the retainers topic; They ALL should have been easier to unlock by being directly linked to either Archivements or Territories on the Avatar Map. None should have been linked to random post battle drops, much less to FULL armour sets where obtaining each individual piece is itself based RNG. One can play a million battles and still be as unlucky as to not get some of the arguably most important retainers, leaving you with a handicap on the multiplayer based purelly on luck.

    4th:
    A new player with only ashigaru units unlocked(even if said new player is very skillfull) has almost 0 chance to win a battle vs a more leveled up player(even if said player is less skillfull), as the ashigaru units will simply rout as soon as the fight start.
    In my opinion all basic samurai units(bow, yari, katana and yari cav) should have been available from level 0 to all players. This would even up the field early on and give everyone a fairer chance. Clan specialization should instead be about unlocking higher tier(specialized) units and upgrades, not starting ones.

    5th:
    The inclusion of dojos on the different maps is overall a great idea, as it prevents camping and red lining. However not all dojos are created equal and their positioning and randomness make for some unfair situations sometimes, when one dojo of arguably less importance is closer to one player, while another dojo of arguably higher value is closer to the other player.
    All dojos should simply be equally accesible(mid-map) to both players at the start of the game, being it ultimately up to said players to focus or not on capturing or neutralizing them.
    On the same topic, Bow Dojo should give both accuracy and reload speed, and do NOT give ammo-resuply for 2 reasons:
    - Most games end so fast that you hardly ever run out of ammo, making the ammo ressuply mechanic and even the extended ammo upgrades rather pointless most of the time.
    - In the special case of the enemy spaming cav and bow cav, it becomes the complete oposite, this dojo and its ressuply ability becomes OP. With a balanced army you are basically forced to go for the hills and forest in order to have a fighting chance vs said cheeze army, however, since the bow dojo gives ammo resuply then we are sadly forced in stead to be out in the open near the dojo and be an easy target, or simply go to the woods and die from infinite arrows.

    6th:
    Naval battles on vanilla Shogun 2 are a mess. Yet they are nesesary in order to unlock all land regions(thus all units and retainers) on the Avatar Conquest map.
    I think this was a mistake; Siege battles are neither required nor ranked, why then make Naval ones both things, when they are arguably worse than Siege?!

    7th:
    Why allow Public Groups to be selected as Clans? This makes the whole Clan Competition feature rather pointless as zerg clans have a clear advantage over smaller private ones. Small steps to alleviate this were taken such as the implementation of losing points by losing battles and such, but that aint enough.
    Only private groups should have counted as Clans from the begining, and only Officers(owners) of said groups should have been able to activate them and select clan specialisation. Anyone on the group being able to do this is rather frustrating since there is no option to disband the group as a clan, nor of changing clan specialization, such options should have been added too at some point!

    8th:
    Another thing greatly missing is the option to reset veteran skills like we can do with our general. This would allow players to be more experimental with their units and builds and give an extra insentive to keep playing multiplayer if only for the clan tokens.
