Hi all!
I have a question regarding the controversial "Blood & Gore" Packs.
Firstly, I presume this will be the typical ~£3 purchase. Has this been confirmed for this total war?
Secondly, I found the Rome 2 blood pack a while after playing it, are these released on the day of release of the games? I hope so, I want to see my Dwarves create seas of blood and crispy bits of green skins *maniacal laughter*.
And lastly, how popular are these? Controversy aside, I really love the blood & gore, it makes it more realistic in my eyes and in some weird way, helps you grasp the scale at which you are sacrificing your followers! Reply with your thoughts regarding the questions and your take on the blood pack! However, please try to avoid bashing CA for it. I know, it sucks.
Cheers,
Xeu

0 · Disagree AgreeBut i stopped following the drama and i kinda don't know what happened, and it doesn't matter now.
I might be wrong, but they might do this again with warhammer, granted the beasts and violence inherent to warhammer kinda don't justify you not having blood and gore into the released version of the game.
I think for people that really were looking for blood in Rome II they got it fairly fast and easy with mod's, and i believe that it wasn't something that problematic to begin with?, sure there was some outcry but with all the other problem's at the time it kinda got overshadowed and ignored?
In warhammer though i kinda feel people expect a more hard and bloody feel to it you know? its a dark universe, and some form of blood has to be in there, so there isn't any clear justification for CA to not have some form of blood and gore at release.
I think it has to be in the base game, at least some form of it, but there can be a enhanced blood edition DLC or something sure, i won't buy it but who cares really.

I agree with you, Warhammer is indeed a dark universe, it has always been very graphic and therefore in some way it should have blood and gore, and this is central to really getting the grim feeling from playing the game. I hope that even if it isn't in the core game, it is a DLC. I would very much like this to happen, and in my mind it would be perfect for capturing the brutality that occurs in this beloved IP.

0 · Disagree AgreeWhatever the reasoning may be, we are focusing on the content of the pack, and whether its happening/release date etc. We already agreed that the IP deserves one.
Refer to my OP, but avoid bashing CA/the reasoning please.

0 · Disagree AgreeBut i wouldn't mind like a super overblown DLC that add's all sort of crazy effect's, it has to be good even though i dont consider it core to the game.

0 · Disagree AgreeI totally agree with you, there should be somewhat minimalistic blood/gore effects in the base game to add to the reality, and then a separate pack for those fans who want something more... Gruesome.
I'd love to see the effects of a trolls strength or a bright wizards magic up close with all of the mess.
Hopefully this will be covered in an Instagram post, however I believe something this controversial CA wouldn't want getting much attention, so they will do it at release no doubt. Understandably so.
So looking forward to more battle footage! In particular a siege battle would be sweet!

0 · Disagree AgreeFor the record a B&G DLC has been heavily discussed in every previous game release. The game is sold world-wide, and the rating set is the one that allows the sale to all age groups within those countries, many of who have very restrictive laws on what can be included in content.
The theory is that by selling the DLC purchase is "theoretically" made by adults, since a credit card is required that can provide age verification. It is not something Creative Assembly/Sega can ignore or bypass.
OP outlined a narrow focus for thread discussion. Stay within the lines specified. Any straying into argumentative bashing of Creative Assembly or other members will be handled by the guidelines set down by Creative Assembly, as this is their forum.
Thanks.
