I've been playing since MTW1 and have been modding since Empire FYI. I've never seen this before.
Just prior to the latest patch I was 150 turns into a AoC campaign running only the 3 Radious mods for AoC. I started getting this error when the game would crash the second I clicked play.
I deselected the mods, still the error.
I deleted the mods from data folder, still.
I deleted the data folder, reacquired, tried to start with no mods subscribed or in data folder, still.
I deleted the entire Attila directory and the appcache folder, reinstalled, still.
Something is wrong big time.
Comments
Is the dxdiag needed or just the mdmp?

I was just playing this game fine (and have been for months) prior to the last update, what did you do?
Drivers up to date, I use GeForce experience.

0 · Disagree AgreeI'm deleting my AppData/roaming folder files this time and verifying cache.
Keep in mind this is a fresh install after physically removing everything else associated with this game.

0 · Disagree AgreeGoing for the Radious mods I had installed prior to this, I saved my last Lombard save game from the roaming folder prior to deletion, fingers crossed.

0 · Disagree AgreeDelete the appcache folder
Delete the contents of Appdata/Roaming/Attila
Manually delete the entire Attila folder in Steam
unsubscribe from all mods
reinstall
roll back to 4.1
exit steam
sign back in
opt out of 4.1
start game, let it load to starting screen
exit game
resubscribe to mods
play
It worked for me.

0 · Disagree AgreeGo to: C:\Users\*********\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Attila\scripts
And delete the file named: user.script
Then the game started properly, no need to resubscribe to mods or anything.
The error comes from User.script because it keeps a list of previously used mod from previous instalation of the game even if you had unsubscribed those mod.
