Wont let me end turn in Single player campaign

Hi everyone, I have been having trouble in the napoleon total war single player campaign. The problem is that after spending so much time in the campaign that is won't let me end the turn. This happened not to long after I got a notification in-game that I had 20 turns left to do the main objective .
What should I do? Does anyone else have this problem?
