Because the game allocates itself 20GBs to download into before it can unpack the game, write the new information in, and then re-pack.

No , i need to delete fallout 4 when warhammer has a patch , it's not make sense .

If you don't have space for another drive slot on your computer then get an external drive. A 250 or 500 gig drive is pretty inexpensive, internal or external. Set up the game to run it through Steam. Takes a little longer to start up the game but it will run fine.

I run all my games from a second drive on my PC. Saves space on the C: drive for Windows to do its thing.

This is still something they need to communicate. Lots of people have systems with very little disk space.

That's why the system requirements say 35GBs - it covers the installation plus the extra wiggle room to run the game.

@pray - You could try removing a few old game saves/replays, or decreasing the size of your pagefile, or run disk clean, or a combination.

It's ssd warhammer and fallout 4 need ssd , because long time loading .

How about moving the game installation to another drive, updating it, then moving it back?

have another / similar problem:

Game update 1,8gb/2,0gb... waiting... and waiting. no progress made, have 517 gb left on drive so that shouldnt be an issue. In Downloadmanager it tells me only Network Usage is Disc usage...

tried reloading / rebooting and stop and redo the download. Nothing worked

wanted to start a coop campaign today and now im kinda bummed

any ideas? (might be the same problem OP has)


//EDIT: problem somehow dissappeared. Download finished, even though it was over 2h on no progress (internet connection was through out the time fully availible) might spread hope to OP
