Pretty much what the tittle says. If I got that file in my folder the mod launcher/selector crashes when selecting/unselecting any mods. The game also tells me that my version is different from other players even with no mods installed. I tried verifying game cache. I tried deleting and re-downloading the file as well as any other files with the _bl ending. I tried a fresh install. I disabled and enabled the mod in steam. No success Only way to get it to work is by manually removing the data_bl.pack
I also want to add that I the game no longer "understands" deselecting mod. Eventhough they lose their effect ingame the game will still tell me that the game is modded and list me(in the modified.log) all the files in my data dir no matter if they are selected or not.

I've tried this myself and I'm not getting the issue you're describing. I have the Blood for the Blood God DLC installed, and 20 or so mods from the workshop, and I'm not getting any crashes when attempting to enable/disable them via the launcher.
Could you link me to one/all of the mods you're using? It's possible that a specific mod or combination of mods is causing the problem. Also do you have any mods you've created yourself? I've heard a few reports of people experiencing crashes with their self-made mods, so it's worth checking if that's the problem or not.
Also you say that your mods appear in the modified.log regardless of whether they are enabled, but you attached a modified.log that has nothing in it?

Hey Thanks for the answer. I am running a bunch of self-made mods and a few from the work shop. However ALL of them worked pre patch and post patch (if I remove data_bl)
I had the mp issue (wrong version) even though I removed every single mod (hence the modified.log is empty) but had the data_bl in the data folder.
The part where mods appeared in the log even though they are not enabled described a situation where I removed the data_bl, reinstalled my mods but disabled them to play mp. Note:Eventhough it said moddified in the right corner I could play mp

I haven't been able to reproduce this one myself.
Could you run through the following steps (all of them please!) and see if it helps resolve it for you? Make sure you backup your save games and mods before doing this.
- Open rededit and delete the following: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/The Creative Assembly/Launcher HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/The Creative Assembly/Warhammer
- Delete the appdata folder located here: \%appdata%\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer\
- Remove any and all traces of mods from the Warhammer data directory here: \Steam\steamapps\common\Total War WARHAMMER\data\
- Opt out of any betas for Warhammer and verify the cache then try running the game.
That should reset you back to a vanilla installation with no modified files or user data. Hopefully that'll sort out the issue for you? It's a speculative fix because I haven't been able to repro it internally. If it does resolve the issue start adding mods back a few at a time, and see if any of them cause it to stop working again.

That's why the game still shows as "modded" - because you have all those non-CA files in the data folder, even though they are disabled. For future reference, you can upload a second version of a file if you re-name it, but obviously there is no need this time.

I have the crash of the launcher when using any mod while the data_bl is inside the data folder. For example if I use the "Improved Loading Screen Artwork" (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=700512220&searchtext=loading) mod (without any other mod). Disabling or enabling it crashes the launcher

In the right corner the game still says modified eventhough the mods are disabled (I can however play mp)
Second update:
Moved my old app data back in. everything still works
Third update:
Reinstalled all mods with no problems. No crashes. Can play mp -even witht the more_gore mod (a movie mod) in the folder
