I was about 90 turns into an Empire legendary difficulty campaign when my Windows crashed (as Windows 10 likes to do that occasionally) and when I booted up the game again my save was gone!
I have steam cloud on, although that didn't help at all and my saves for two multiplayer campaigns were fine!
I'm running with a number of mods and sweet fx, although it's clearly something to do with the automatic saves and windows 10 suddenly crashing, as the other saves were fine!
Sorry to read that you have experience crashes and what seems to be a corrupted saved game on your legendary campaign.
Could you please check if you have a saved game for your legendary campaign in your appdata folder (click here to find exactly where to find your saved games.)
If you do, does it end by ".save.save"? If it does please delete one of the ".save".
Also, to find the saved game that was saved to your cloud, please check this path:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\ - Then check for the most recent one (if Total War: Warhammer was the last game using the cloud saved) - Open that folder - Then go to the folder '364360' - And finally the folder 'remote'
Apply the same workaround as above if the saved game ends by ".save.save".
Thanks,

I've done everything you've asked and as the picture shows the save file exists, although the game isn't registering it! It did not have save.save on the end, just save!
Also for the cloud it didn't sync or something as the folder only had a 'filter' file in it and the steam cloud registers 97bytes whereas the actual file is 9847kb.
Hey madman7o7 I managed to stop the crashing but still cant get a hold of old saves. Just download driver booster 4 and let it do its thing, my crashes stopped immediately with the driver updates.
