SolvedWarhammer crashes on start

hey; I could not find a post matching my problem, so:
When I try to start the game it crashes while in the pre-intro screen and a message pops up reading: "Total War: Warhammer has stopped working" I previously had mods installed so I unsubbed and deleted them all, i verified the integrity of the game cache and updated drivers. That did not work so I did a clean reinstall, still no luck.
At this point I really don't know what to do anymore, so thx for quick response.

System specs:
Windows 10 64-bit
I-7 6700 3.40Ghz
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970
8GB ram
the game is installed on an ssd.

Before the crash: I installed a mod called "Magic Rebalanced (Close to Vanilla)" -> https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=852618066
when i started the game the next time this crash occured, but i don't know if this caused it since i already reinstalled the game.

the .mdmp- file was too large to be attached so i comprimized it into an .rar-archive, hope it still helps.

Try going to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Warhammer and rename the following folders (probably easiest to add a 1 after the names, so Scripts1 for example):

advice_history
army_setups
battle_preferences
fx_cache
ui_cache
Scripts

Then go to your main Steam folder and delete Client Registry.Blob if you have it. After that, re-start Steam and verify your game cache before trying the game.
If you do not have ClientRegistry.Blob try method 2 here http://www.wikihow.com/Restart-Steam then verify the game cache.

I'll mark the matter Solved, then.

If you have problems with mods you generally have to remove them, and go through the rename process to make sure that any changes they have already made to the game settings are removed.
