New units for Wood Elves

I there any chance of getting more units and LL's for the Wood Elves. From what I understand the Spell Weaver and Shadowdancer is missing. How many would be interested in seeing them? I for one wouldn't mind paying for a DLC pack for WE's.

    mabye they get a FLC update.

    In fact, there is a FLC coming which is suppose to also help DLC races.

    Doesn't seem to state what it is, so I am not sure where it means new units :P

    Nothing confirmed but CA's has been pretty good about updating the roster with free content usually around major release. We know for certain that game one is getting more content eventually.

    I anticipate some updates with the release of the second game. For instance, the Spell Weaver has access to the Lore of High and Dark magic, which we won't get until the second game.

    Hopefully they'll add the rest of the units to some races cause their isn't alot of units not including beastman and chaos which require a great deal of units to be made!

    Empire have only Celestial Hurricanum, Huntsman, archers, some knightly orders, Master engineer with mechanical steed mount, Imperial Dragon mount for Karl franz, Wizard lord and Templar grand master

    Wood elves only have Great stag mount, Glade Captain, Shadowdancer and Spellweaver!

    Dwarfs have Daemon slayer, Dragon Slayer and Slayers with Great weapons left

    Greenskins have Orc Boss (Hero variant), Goblin Spear Chukka, Mangler Squigs, Snotlings swarm, Snotling pump wagon and Arachnarok spider with a web lobber and the Arachnarok spider mount with spider shrine for goblin great shaman

    Vampire counts have Coven throne mount for Vampire heros and lords, Abyssal Terror mount for lords, Bat swarms and Spirit hosts

    Finally Beastman have got the Ghorgon, Tuskgor Chariot, Jabberslythe, Wargor and Doombull

    Left out chaos warriors because they are probably going to be expanded in game 3 :)

    But honestly these factions generally need very few units for their 8th editions roster hopefully before the end of game 3 we see all of these units added to the current rosters

    Amethyst Wizard? Normal Lore of Metal Mage? THEORETICALLY Dismounted Reiksguard (one could argue that this falls under Knightly Orders, but mounted Reiksguard are already in the game)

    I hope we get all the units for all the races in WH1, at least those officially in Lore. If players feels they are continuing to support the first game, it will induce more players into buying all the games.

    I think that having all the units could be detrimental. I want a faction that plays a certain way, and potentially overloading them could be bad in that case. Units added should have a place and purpose.

    For instance: Why add bowmen when we have crossbows? They play the same role.

    Bowmen can fill a different role to crossbows. If there are huntsmen added, then they could be a skirmishing archer unit rather than the more regimental crossbowmen.

    Plus its nice to have variety. I'd rather a regiment of bowmen to handgunners. Bows are cool.

    Huntsmen are different than standard bowmen.

    Bowmen would in no way play the same role as handgunners though. Handgunners are AP after all. Empire bowmen would basically be reskinned Bretonnian bowmen. Boring.

    The upcoming FLC is implied to be Norsca, and therefore would help the Chaos DLC, not the Wood Elf DLC. If there is going to be an FLC for WE, it'll come with some DLC for the DE and HE, or with an FLC for the above two races.

    They are popular because they are powerful, not because they are female. The Fey Enchantress is straight up broken right now, the Glady is better than the Glade Lord in every way, and Isabella is competent in her own right(Though not as good as Mannfred, Vlad, or TRD she isn't bad by any stretch)

    None in Singleplayer, but in Multiplayer the Glord is melee focused and the Glady is ranged focused, and has that nasty net spell and arrow of Kurnous.

    Wait a sec.... 5 units and a one mount based on the little guys? Grom da Pounch confirmed!!! Or at least i hope thats what it mean.

    Anyway, Shadowdancer is now basicly a glade lord with melee build. So its... kinda exist. And CA has a terrible habit dont makeing lordes from existing heroes, or very similar lords for existing lords. Thats why we have no Doombull lord. Specific black orc, and svage orc warboss, or the mentioned Spell Weaver. And maybe thats behind the lack of lore of metal wizardes, and slayer heroes, lords.
    I'm sorry to say it, but if CA want to improve existing factions the WE are the last ones what they should touch. As everybody mentioned before me, every other faction have more problem than the treehuggers.

    Yes a shadowdancer may would be interesting, even if this lord has some form of representation in the current game. An even if Durthu the army of one treeman rampage down most of the enemies all alone, so there is clearly no reason (for me) to make an elven lord to a melee specialist. They are just better with the bow and they should be.

    Karl Franz also plays diffrently to Balthasar Gelt,
    but who knows maybe there is in reality a women under Balthasars Mask.

    Actually, if we go by the TT, Empire bowmen (not hunters) would be even worse then BR bowmen, with less range.

    Hence I would be interested in the huntsmen and have no interest in the bowmen.

    I think he meant that if the FLC is implied to help both owners of main game and DLC owners, it is more likely to be tied with Chaos/Norsca. This makes a bit more sense then randomly introducing units for Wood Elves (Which they don't really need in comparison to some of the other races *coughbeastmencough*)

    Well if he meant that he had a funny to write it.

    Thou I'm not sure if a Norsca DLC can only come with Chaos FLC. Didn't get the WoC get 3 FLC units with the WE?
    While it is true that WE are pretty complete, perhaps the most complete race, I would say that RoR are still missing for them and a popular theory/hope is that the FLC for "all" are the RoR units for DLC races.

    Thou it is of course also plausible that the FLC are maps or some other feature that everyone will be able to use anyway, without race specific work in the slightest.
