Just my theory.
The Eagle: Tzeench, the changer of ways. Watching the world as Eagles do.
The Crow: Nurgle, lord of decay. Crows are scavangers, looting and eating the decaying dead.
The Serpent: Slaanesh, lord of pleasure. The slithering seductions and temptations of the snake.
The Hound: Khorne, the Blood God. The hounds of war are his.
Stated from the steam page:
store.steampowered.com/app/455040/Total_War_WARHAMMER__Norsca/"Allegiance to the gods
When conquering a settlement, Norscan factions have a unique new post-battle option. Alongside Occupying and Looting, they may choose to Raze a settlement and erect a monolith to one of the four dark gods, who they personify as the Eagle, the Crow, the Serpent and the Hound. The more monoliths that are erected, the more favour the gods bestow. Rewards are granted in the form of increasingly powerful campaign and battle bonuses and, in certain cases, unique units or characters.
Victory Conditions
By pledging your allegiance to a god fully and securing its final and greatest reward, you trigger the road to campaign victory. The gods are jealous, and the three you have spurned will not take kindly. They will dispatch their most powerful champions to challenge your supremacy, activating a series of quests which culminate in an epic endgame experience."
So if I chose to worship The Hound, I will have champions of the other gods sent against me.
This is fantastic CA. Absolutely fantastic.

1 · Disagree AgreeWill be interesting to see how this plays out for Nrosca. Could be kind of a live betatest for game#3 and the assumed WoC god themed addon.

3 · Disagree AgreeCA have streamlined the Norscan view of the Chaos Gods with symbolic animals, but this is very much based on the lore. It would have been too complicated if all the tribes' different interpretations of the Chaos Gods were implemented.

4 · Disagree AgreeKeeps it simple, but on point. I like it. Gives me hope for how they will treat Araby and DoW.

0 · Disagree AgreeDidn't play with the Sorcerer, but i imagine it apparently has a mix of fire and death. And it rides a Dragon.
The Lord of Change is pretty **** awesome. It provides +8 Melee attack and Defense to all units in your army, has a global recruitment pool that has the duration's of all recruitment cut in half and has a mix of the lore of Death and Metal.

0 · Disagree AgreeJust started going south into Kislev with Wulf and having a blast. Not done any monster hunting yet though.
Easily more fun than a Chaos campaign. The perfect meld of settlements and hording. If the southern realms wanted to they could easily wipe you out if they wanted to though but they are too concerned with their own affairs.
But so far I think this is probably the most fun campaign I've had so far and I'll probably do a load of these campaigns before Warhammer 2 hits. Might even take Norsca over the Empire or Dwarfs for a first Grand Campaign.
