What does everyone think of Morathi's spell selection?

She doesn't have any bound spells, she only has one true spell from the lore of dark magic (PoD is more of an ability), and her death spells are both debuffs, only one of which is particularly useful. Furthermore I am personally not a fan of MMM in campaign; I feel like it's best used in multiplayer. What do y'all think?

    Honestly, I think Teclis has a better selection of spells, but on the other hand, Morathi is a lot better in melee. Right now in my Cult of Pleasure campaign (Legendary), Morathi is level 26, and I'm pretty sure she could beat any other lord 1v1 in melee, provided she casts a few spells.

    I want to say that she should have better spells, but I can't think of any I would replace, and what I would replace it with. I would say if she lacks anything, it is a reliable direct damage spell, as the Dark Magic lore spell she gets is for lords and heroes, and pit of shades is very situational, and potentially dangerous, even if it can have some incredible results when well-placed.

    They're all right. Complementing with some items that allow you to cast spells have yielded some pretty crazy situations where I'm throwing down close to 10 explosions/vortexes/etc almost at the same time.

    i would drop the leadership debuff for blade wind but atm i htink she has the worst spell list due to being to situational most of the time

    Yeah but she can solo Star Dragons in melee.

    so can the black guard and it kinda bothers me to see a major caster lord in lore be better in melee than using the lore of magic she practically invented. also i dont get why she doesnt just have 2 lores of magic same with maza and teclis these mixed lores seem to be meh most of the time

    because then we get the Topics "Mazdamundi should have High Magic + the 8 other Lores!" "Teclis should have all spells!" etc. again...

    we get those anyways just feels weird and is gonna be awkward when game one lords with 2 lores show up and can out caster lord like maza and teclis that i often find the mixed lore spells to be crap or all over the place is just the final nail in the coffin for them

    Feels pretty meh.

    Garbage: Soul Stealer (does 500 damage to a wizard for a ton of power), Doom & Darkness
    Meh: Melkoth's (does too little damage for a single target spell), soulblight (decent but costs too much power)
    Good: Pit of Shades, Power of Darkness

    How do you get 3 good lores to choose spells from and come up with this list?

    melkoth i can live with its the basic spell and only costs 5 WoM but other wise i agree
