TK is pretty different from Vamps, theyre more similar to Empire. Theyre a diverse faction with powerful specialists and a tool for every job but with even worse chaffier infantry.

Yeah. They're about as different as Bretonnia to the Empire.

Entirely different core principals to their army structure.

Theyve cut more of the map than i'd have liked it appears.

    Still, can't wait.

Will we get new faction intros?

Sounds a bit too expensive for a ln almost FLC.

I hope in 1 new intro common to all races, like an extended of the ME trailer. This should not be too much.

    Maybe at least victory videos?

Well, of course it's about the journey, not the destination.

I still wonder about the skill trees of the old world factions. I hope the agents may have the same blue line rework than in the second game, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I would really like to see the game 1 red lines be rebalanced a bit in Mortal Empires, but I doubt it is going to happen.

It's one modding project I've kept in mind, I was waiting to see what would happen with the game 2 rework.

And also, they are not automatons like VC armies. Some of their elite foot soldiers are capable of speech, and their basic would tell something about patrol duty and in life past training.
I hope they get a proper voice-over and not VC recycled for them.

    It's a $120 FLC :)

The vortex factions intro may not be suitable for ME anyway.

Something about on the map I've notice CA, mainly in Ulthuan at the starting location of Tyrion in Lothern, where your screen shot of it show the capital getting attacked by the Greenskin hordes.

    What happened to Glittering tower?

Sure you may have chosen to remove the settlement, but the geographical isle is completely gone. Did the isle sink or something? I pretty sure lore wise it was still there after Malekith sundered Ulthuan because the Phoenix King was stuck there under siege by the Dark Elves and what chaos allies they had when they tried to invade and conquer the whole of Ulthuan again. Plus the mortal empires campaign map shows more than enough room in that area to still have it there on some level.

I just realized this now Ulthuan looks like a toilet, even got a vortex at the center

So, in the same way I can say every FLC of every game isn't free, but cost the full price of the original game because you need to own it and of course you buy it at full price.

And also every expansion not stand alone doesn't really cost its price, but costs its price + base game full price.

    Doesn't make any sense.

People played hundreds of hours with those 120 dollars and now they get ME. I think it's fair to say is a FLC.

What you want are free games, not free contents.

I hate to beat a dead horse but I don't see Skrolk's start position on here. Even if they merged north and south jungles in lustria to one province to still include Itsa, there isn't enough room for him. They would have said he was getting moved if that was the case. Also seeing as how you can not see the whole map when zoomed out on the mini map it stands to reason we may still get a bit more than this. I know it's blind hope at this point but I'm not giving it up until confirmed by CA. Probably today at twitchcon.

Just noticed also the land of beasts isn't shown and kroq isn't being moved either. I think they are making a point to surprise us with more than we expect.

Hope crushed lol, looks like we got the datamine pretty much. I was really hoping for more southlands and lustria but I guess we will just have to play it to see how it feels. I'm sure it will still feel HUGE.

    Ha!, says I.
Slightly resized Ulthuan (and I mean literally resized, no changes to shape whatsoever). Besides this minor detail this is EXACTLY the datamined garbage that everyone hated the moment it surfaced. And CA had all the time in the world to change it based on the backlash. They did not! And this cannot and will not be forgiven. I wish serious wave of takebacks is coming, maybe that's gonna be a wake up call for them.
Ulthuans shape was suppose to change?

It's free, but you won't be able to play the old world factions.

I thought you needed to own both TWW 1 and TWW 2 to access Mortal Empires in TWW 2, so in effect if you don't own TWW the price is the cost of TWW - maybe wait for a sale.

    This on steam:

This content is a massive free expansion to owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER & Total War: WARHAMMER II, and requires ownership of both games to play.

That’s certainly been the party line from CA, and fits the general policy on theses things. The only play as factions you own always requires you to have access to the campaign they are in, which in this case has been consistently stated as requiring both.

That is going to bother me so much, man the immersion is being so butchered with Warhammer 2. So much is being cut for no real reason it seems.

Well CA gave us the hit when the Athel Loren didn't turn out as diverse and interesting as the mini campaign. So think of it like that. It's for the sake of squeezing everybody in.
I personally think they are overly insecure about this though, as they are cutting way too many things. But the map does look fun, but it gets to a point where there are really cool things being cut. I mean this game is the best optimized total war, coming off the worst optimized total war in Atilla. So maybe negatives are still hanging on to their minds, because the things they cut would not do any harm to the overall warhammer map in my opinion.

Yeah I thought that as well when you first said it. I personally disagree with that decision it should be as accessible as possible. I see no issue that may arise from giving everyone apart from Warhammer I only owners access to it as well. Because it is actually in Warhammer II some access to it would need to be granted for the latter which would be very complicated or outright impossible. This does not occur in the former case so CA should let them play it with limited race choices.
