ok jokes beside, dat damn malekith has 2 armys and is number 7 at world Count ( ok dats not dat bad ) i carried his ass since i am since about 50 turns rank 1 and destroyed the whole west coast of ME ( no joke ist all mine only malekiths are isnt ) and he has 500+ in relation to me, can sb tell me why the **** he doesnt want to confederate?

If so, Offer Confederation
Then offer money, and keep going up until he's interested.

Confederation metrics in game two are ass backwards and don't always adhere to rhyme or reason in my experience, but money usually talks.

I have had over 300 with factions and they still wont trade with me...Something is clearly broken with the mechanics.

He is "very strong" in economy even if i Offer 50 k ( in my opinion dats very very very much ) he doesnt say yes ( still low Chance )

He's too secure. AI factions tend to need to be looking down the barrel of annihilation before they will consider confederation it can help to drag them into a load of wars with other factions. Also the 'join war against' option tends to carry more diplomatic weight than just throwing money at people so if he has any wars your not involved with try offering to join in exchange for a confed. At str rank 7 your likely to struggle though. Sometimes you if you can get in just after your target has taken a huge military loss you can use the strength hit the suffer to get them to join you. I suspect when you are in an alliance, your military strength counts towards theirs when they decide if you are a threat worth conceding to. Hence don't ally with those LL you wish to confederate with.... or save up a million gold in bribe money.

It has to be a simple number comparison, are me and my allies stronger that this upstart asking for an alliance? Which is naturally a yes when allied with you, hence unreasonable bribes required.

Now when they are alone but friendly and you ask for an alliance, usually you being the No.1 Power....suddenly it seems like a no-brainer.

Money usually doesn't talk unlike the chance for confederation is "moderate." I've offered factions literally hundreds of thousands of gold for a confederation in the late game with very high relations, and they simply won't take it.
But then again, they won't be a faction anymore so I guess they would have a need for all that money anyway...

Honestly, the easiest way is to offer mroe money. You offered 50k and that's nothing. I had to offer 230k at 300+ relations in order to get him to confederate. While military alliance does raise his strength rating, it's more valuable to drag him into other wars. That more than makes up for it. Of course, you should always have a higher strength rating then them. Otherwise there's zero reason for them to confederate with you.
