The hint mentions breaking free of chains and refers frequently to blood. Both of these relate to the lore of the Bloodwrack Medusa because it is led to battle in chains, and causes blood loss to anyone who looks it in the eye. I am pretty sure the hint refers to a new unit because it was confirmed that it would be FLC for the Queen and the Crone and FLC is usually a new Lord or unit and this one does not sound like a Lord. It could also be a Karybdiss but the Medusa dots the hint more.

I'm not hoping for much, though.

Those who survive return to Ghrond with prisoners in tow -- Bloodwrack Medusae, their claws bound and their faces masked" (DE 8th edition codex)
The hints about chains and blood fits the passage about Medusae in the codex really well, so if it's a unit it should be the medusae. So in that regard i agree with you.
Although it is not confirmed that it's an FLC, quite the opposite. They have confirmed that only players who has bought the DLC will get it.

0 · Disagree AgreeNot to mention, Kharibdyss is a deep sea/ocean creature and doesn't care about the blood, since it swallow its victims whole and digest them.

Its propably gonna get its own little trailer etc.

- They are "chained" to their altars according to lore
- They let anyone "bleed" who looks at them
- Snake Animations are in the game
- They already got mentioned in the DE Vortex Campaign
-> Kharibdyss
- They are captured and "chained" by the Beastmasters
- They are Monsters that spill "blood" endlessly even from the Druchii
- Hydra animations are quite similar, so they are in the game too
- Data-mine revealed it's possible existence in the game files
For me they are equally possible ... and honestly I couldn't even decide between these two
Can't we get both ?

3 · Disagree AgreeThe "chains" could be referred to both the Kharibdyss or the Medusa. The part about of death and blood is clearly a reference to the rituals carried out by Khaine cult. So it could be either be a reference to the medusa, or just a generic expression referring to the DLC.
Imho? They don't know yet. They added it due to the backlash, so it will take quite a long time before we can get either of them.
In any case, best case we get Medusa or the shrine. There is no real possibility of getting both Medusa and the bloodwrack shrine.
Worst case we get the reskinned Hydr... i mean, Kharibdyss.
