Thanks for the feedback As it seems that many of the lads here feel quite strongly against that sound effect (i can't blame you, really ) i have notified the audio team about that problem. Hopefully they will be able to change the sound effect before we lock the dev build Thanks!
Great news!
I also think that we get too much intrusive notifications, especially notifications related to agents. Because of that, I even created a mod to fix it:
This mod reduces the number of instant open windows, as you can see below:
IMHO, you should consider implementing a similar change in the game. At least, give us the option to select the messages we want to see as instant open windows.
Another essential mod for me is "Sebidee's Minimal Battle Advisor"
The battle advisor in Rome 2 is so....annoying!! He is constantly says pointless things such as "the man are WAAAAAAAVERING". With this mod, the advisor only gives you essential information, such as the death of a general.
You should also consider implementing this mod in the game.
You should include so he tells about enemy general killed, not only your own.
I think this was mentioned in a thread somewhere, but still - we felt that Public Order was not challenging enough on the Open Beta, just as you do As a result the design team made changes and the campaigns feel quite hard on our dev build (lots of swear words are flying around in the QA corner here) . We are even considering a slight re-balance, as we don't want to scare people off So stay tuned, we are trying to find the best balance to make Public Order challenging enough without crushing the more inexperienced players
Thanks for the feedback
Salve!
Please have a look at the Philosophy tree, I mean as soon as that one is maxed out I don't have to worry about PO buildings anymore. This and Julia with the romanisation trait and I don't have to bother with PO at all anymore.
Another bugreport: I get no cultural conversion at all in Africa province as Julia. It has happen before with this patch, I think it could be random but its annoying. It should be the romanisation trait and also the temple bonus.
Daily reminder to CA to pls fix the macedons colours back to yellow-black and to make AI more challenging in campaign map and also try to implement the battlefield map edditor i heard you couldnt do it for some reason like you dont have rights to it or something.. But its your game CA you should have the only right! It would make the game even more awesome with the new dlc instalment.
Just realized an ancient bug is still there, which is quite dissappointing !!!
In autoresolve, units with low mancount (chariots, elephants, .... to a certain extent horses) disproportionately suffer from losses when:
It almost seems as if the generals bodyguards fought the battle alone
I don't understand that this has never been fixed, it doens't even seem to be much of an topic. Aren't others annoyed by this? Do you guys fight all your battles manually, even when you severly outnumber and outclass the enemy?
Hey so after updating my computer with the latest windows update, every time I select end turn, the game crashes and shuts down. Don't know if this is happening to everyone else, but this started when I updated my windows.
There is something that has always been here since the release of the game, I dont know if its a feature or a bug, but to me its more a bug because its annoying and unpredictable
Its related to reinforcement : (I played with a few armies to prove my point).
So basically you have the choice which reinforcing army is coming first (with the right and left arrow), but this function never worked, it randomly throw units at you untill you get your maximum unit limit. For me its 20 units because I untick large armies
Let me show you :
That is my main army (consisting of 15 men)
First reinforcing army (this one has been chosen to reinforce first)
Second reinforcing army
But at the end its what I get (tagged as group 2 an 3)
The game basically gave me THE ARMY I DO NOT WANTED, it just throw units to fill my ranks untill I have 20 units, this feature is broken, because it makes your future army unpredictable. It remove the strategy part of the game ... Its here since the beginning I really really hope you will do something about this issue in the future
Wou dud your right... I totaly forgot about this but this has been toogether with bugged autoresults one of the most **** things ever!
You should as well be able to choose from where the units are comming from and wich army should reinforce you first. I hope they fix this until the dlc..

I never even realized we could do this! I do agree though, that bug is a bit of a pain.
I was watching the first live gameplay of Rise of the Republic on twitch and I noticed that the artisan building icon is now black! Finally, the colour of this building was fixed!
The artisan building gives you industry bonus, so the icon should be black, just like in that video, not red. Well done! I hope to see more building colour fixes implemented in other campaigns as well. Right now, in the beta version, the icon is still red:
There should be an uniform colour code for all building based on their main income/main function, as shown below: - Red - military - Dark Blue - navy - Light blue - sanitation - Green - agriculture - Orange - main building chain - Black - Industry - Purple - Commerce - Yellow - Culture - Dark pink - religion
The “commerce buildings” need a special attention. There are only few “purple buildings” in the game. We should see them more often. Here is an example:
That guy, Marcus, is a scripted character. He also appeared in one of my campaigns and he also have the same face of your "three" Marcus. Perhaps, that's a bug. Why do you have three Marcus?
Has anyone ever noticed that the Egyptian shoreline along the Med in Empire Divided has square edges instead of a smooth beach? Image in the spoiler below.
Edit: for future reference, this issue was solved.

HOW IT SHOULD BE
Dude...this is amazing. Any chance at making a mod for this? This would be a real game changer.
Agreed with the above suggestion about building icons. I could do a quick mod doing that if people wanted - but I would make two alterations: orange actually meaning "Subsistence" rather than just pointing out that building is the main chain, and make purple for "Culture" and yellow for "Commerce".
Can you guys please give camillus a helmet when he is leading an army?
My favorite factions in TW titles:
Rome 1 - House of Julii
Medieval 2 - Milan
Empire - UK
Napoleon - France
Shogun 2 - Tokugawa
Rome 2 - Macedon
Attila - Western Roman Empire
Warhammer - Empire (Karl Franz)
Three kingdoms - Sun Jian
@happycompy Yes, it's possible to create a mod but I hope that it won't be necessary. Let's wait until the final release of the Ancestral update to see if CA already fixed this issue.

Ah, you are right about the "orange buildings". I forgot there was subsistence in the game. However, I prefere to use purple for commerce because the few building who already have this colour give commerce income (ex. Spice depot, purple dye, amber...)

I have the suspicion that this guy was only for testing purposes, but then was forgotten to delete.
Also the number 1000-1002 have all the same spawn date "647" which seemed to be for testing.

2 · Disagree Agreecan you give more traits rather than just diplomatic increase?
some random personality trait would be good
marriage with own faction gives 2 traits of each wife and husband
but marriage with other faction leader just give 1 trait
