I think generals should speak a little bit louder so we can hear them without zooming in too close to the general. Not too loud (or else it would ruin immersion), just a little bit louder.
EDIT: I would like to report a redundant character skill. The Germanic tribes have the option to always choose to fight night battles...
...however, the Germanic character skills also allow you to do the same.
There is no point in selecting this skill because you can already fight night battles due to the faction trait. So, IMO, this skill should give a different bonus (ex. some kind of bonus for fighting night battles such as more morale or more deployable defences) instead of unlocking night battles.
Please CA Release TED Editor all comunity would be pleased, you could if you want Deal with costs by releasing with some price like dlc, you Are dtarting to go correctly with regard to this game please help modders to do what CA didnt Do at the begining
Any issues with the Ancestral Update Beta should be reported in this thread, which we will be monitoring closely.</blockquote i cannot continue past turn 70 game refuses to load past selucids before closing

That skill tree is generically just a "Barbarian" skill tree, which the Germans happen to also use since they fall into that category. I would just add an extra bonus or two to fighting night battles for that skill, so that way Germanic faction characters have a reason to use it and provides more incentive for Barbarian players to play dirty (as they were designed to).
I spotted a minor issue playing as Pergamon in the Grand Campaign. My Agema Spears general unit's spearheads are missing when I'm zoomed in.
I'm playing with the Ancestral beta patch using vanilla Rome II (I haven't added any mods to this copy of Rome II since installation. I have units which Pergamon can't normally recruit in the army above because I have client states including Colchis and Royal Scythia, not because of mods).
Pls add TeD or at least explain what is complicated? People are saying you are affraid that most of the warhammer fans will go back to R2 or that you dont have the rights... I dont know how you couldnt have rights for your own game
There is a bug related to animations that makes generals mounted on elephants to constantly switch their sword and their shield in a matter of seconds, just because the elephant has moved:
I think the "silver tongue" skill from dignitaries is not working as intended. The skill’s description says that these agents give you a +5 diplomacy bonus with all factions (cunning based)
However, the diplomacy menu doesn’t show any effect. Here are some examples:

There's a LOT of that going on right now. All sorts of things with agents are listed as happening but not actually having an effect in game.
If your army has besieged the city and the defenders are making an outing, then your army must take the city by storm to win this battle. If you do nothing, you will lose the battle when the time is over. Even if you were planning on waiting for the siege to end.
I just played a camapaign as carthage and i noticed that when my general leveled up to lv 3 he could get a skill navigator that could only be unlocked at lv 4 which is wierd pls fix.
Also yeah agent effects donnt apply. I dont know thou if the effect of the spy applys for enemy armys for the skill where the spy meeds to be deployed in the province where enemy army is deployed.
Also it is great woman can get promoted but their lv up stats are wierd they should give boosts to generals or even beter citys amd income

Did you have the agent deployed in that AI region?

The agent is deployed in one of my regions. However, the description says that the bonus is factionwide, so, I suppose it should happens regardless the place where you put the agent.
@Boicote Actually, I'm pretty sure that "Silver Tongue" affects diplomacy via the Cultural aversion/affinity line... at least in Empire Divided. Unfortunately, I'm unsure if the values changed by that skill are intended, and I suspect that something else also affects that line too.
See the below relationship between Armenia and Rome in Empire Divided during a current playthrough.
Turn 1: Cultural aversion 10 - no points from skills Turn 11: Cultural aversion 10 - no points from skills Turn 20: Cultural aversion 10 - no points from skills Turn 30: Cultural aversion 4 - no points from skills Turn 40: Cultural affinity 34 - 5 points each from three agents for 15 total points from agents Turn 41: Cultural affinity 34 - 5 points each from three agents for 15 total points from agents Turn 44: Cultural affinity 41 - 5 points each from two agents and 10 from one agent for 20 total points from agents Turn 50: Cultural affinity 62 - 5 points each from two agents and 10 each from two agents for 30 total points from agents. Turn 54: Cultural affinity 50 - 5 points one agents and 10 each from two agents for 25 total points from agents after one experienced agent died.
The agents seem to affect that line value, but the effect isn't in merely 5 point increments (Edit: since the adjustment says it's cunning based, presumably, that's why the change isn't only 5 points), and as shown by the change between turns 20 and 30, something else affects that line too. Perhaps an investigation via PFM would illuminate the situation.
They should add the decimatio feature for Rome and that this affects the party's loyalty and public order. Another fun feature would be the loss and recovery of Roman eagles.

Decimation was for individual army units, not for political parties. Do you mean proscriptions? I assume that's what happens when you use the purge function.
After some time, the game starts heavily dropping frames, but only when I'm not moving the camera (this is on the campaign map). When I start moving it around the frames goes up again. I managed to kinda sort it out by restarting the game, but the frames are still pretty bad overall. I'm running a 1080ti so shouldn't really be an issue imo.
The game also crashed when I was called into battle by some other faction (to help them out) and the game would crash if I declined the attack, but not if I accepted the attack.
“What a terrible era in which idiots govern the blind.”
So. I like this Beta alot so far. But honestly... If your going to add a family tree. Dont make the chars age like 6 years each turn. They die before they even have a chance to put out there own offspring. Plus it would add so much more charm to the game if characters didnt die every 15 minutes. If your going to do this properly. Please do it. Dont make us wait for a mod for such a basic thing...

They age one year a turn and no, I do not want to conquer the world in just 1-2 generations. That takes away the whole epic feel of the campaign.
I would like to add to my previous comment about performance.
I have noticed that the frame rate improves when panning. For example if the frame rate drops i just pan the camera around and it improves, this allows me to select menus ect. not sure if this information helps but i thought i would mention it.
in addition i have also noticed that the "menace" ability of the spys when deployed in foreign Provence isnt working. Public order and food of the enemy Provence doesn't decrease.
Trait system needs a rework.. Pls make it like it was in rome 1 and expand how many traits a general can have like you already did once but even more would be great
Ok, just fought a siege battle after placing another skill point in Master Tactician, expecting to be able to use both Second Wind (Group) and Unity of Tribes. I only had the basic Inspire and Unity. Second Wind (Group) was gone. Attaching replay and screenshots of the generals skills.
Please tell me this is unintended. I hope I'm supposed to be able to keep any abilities from previous tiers of a skill.
EDIT: Upon watching the replay myself, it seems the time of day wasn't saved, it's supposed to be at sunset.
