Also, ship behaviour seems really strange. Like in this battle where I've no choice but to surrender because two AI controlled ships are permanently stuck in place wavering in the harbor and I've no way to reach them.
Other times I've had some real trouble landing my own ships in the harbor area, but this time it went okay.
A couple weeks ago i found out about the new patch being in beta and started playing again. I've played maybe 20-30 hours since and have encountered a few issues:
1. The biggest issue is performance after tactical battles. I don't have a top-line PC, but it's got a gpu and processor that were considered decent in 2016, and enough ram, and have always been able to run the game on medium-high settings. But whenever I enter a tactical battle, when I return to the campaign map, I get very low frames (1-3fps) on the campaign map, along with very laggy inputs. If I go back wild with moving the world camera around and screaming with frustration, fox jumps back up to about 55 fps, but drops to 1-3 fps again within about 15 seconds of the world camera becoming motionless. The only resolution I've found is to exit to dektop and restart the game, which resolves the issue until immediately after the next tactical battle. I see this issue with every faction I play as, and with every full stack battle I participate in. I do not always see it after battles of 6-7 or fewer units per army, and I only rarely encounter it when autoresolving.
2. During several Roman campaigns triumphs are out of control. At least the start-of-turn popup messages regarding triumphs are; I've never been sure if a triumphs is a 1-year deal, a multi-year bonus, or a personal trait. But once a general gets one triumph, the same pop-up message seems to get displayed every year in perpetuity, even if the general is no longer participating in battles. For example, Marcus Junius received a triumph for taking the iron-settlement north of cisalpine Gaul from the Marcomanni like 30 turns ago, and has basically just been in charge of standing around Rome with backup troops ever since. He gets a triumph notification on most turns, possibly all of them. This is hampering the playthrough, because now I want to get the Marcomanni to trade with me, and they won't. I know they typically don't like Rome very much, but after all the diplomacy I've done to them, I can't help but think they are declining because they're **** off at how I keep rubbing the wholesale slaughter of their settlement in their faces by continuously throwing parades for the general responsible every year for three decades. I am using a 4-turns-per-year mod, if that makes a difference; that's the only mod I have on right now
3. As Kush, I experience a crash-to-desktop whenever I decline to participate in a battle initiated by a non-allied faction against a city or settlement owned by a faction I'm at war with. For exame, I have to stop just short of memphis, and the Seleucids initiate battle. I'm given the option to join, I decline because I don't want the Seleucids to win. Game immediatelg crashes to desktop. This was reproducable with other enemy faction/unallied friendly faction combos when I was playing Kush, but I did not try to reproduce while playing other factions.
#1 above has a serious impact on my ability to enjoy a session. I mention #2 and #3 just out of completeness, but #2 and #3 are nowhere near deal breakers. Regardless of the few issues I seem to be running into, I'm enjoying the patch and really think Rome II is a great game at this point, so thanks to all who work on it. I do hope #1 can be resolved, tho, so I can get more Roming in during my playsessions!

I'm getting this issue too, it makes campaigns (vanilla, i.e. no mods) extremely unplayable.
I am sorry about the performance issue you have encountered. We have this one resolved and it should not happen in the game version upon release. Issue #2 was resolved as well, there was a bug related to triumphs spawning on every turn once a general has had one. Regarding the CTD with Kush - it would need some investigation on our end, as i am not sure what has caused it.
Again, thanks for the report, hope that this helps

Agreed
My favorite factions in TW titles:
Rome 1 - House of Julii
Medieval 2 - Milan
Empire - UK
Napoleon - France
Shogun 2 - Tokugawa
Rome 2 - Macedon
Attila - Western Roman Empire
Warhammer - Empire (Karl Franz)
Three kingdoms - Sun Jian
I would like to have fix when doing 4 vs 4 battles on Extreme settings using large armies preset it always crashes when I do all levy freemen. Also is there hope op 64 bit version of rome 2? I would like to finally use some of my ram its just doing nothing when I play the game
A when playing multiplayer battles would be welcome same for disconnects when playing multiplayer campaign with a friend. also a ping indicator would be great in the lobby room to see if the network connection is working properly when people have **** connections it just gets slow and you need to rehost all the time

If CA made it more like Paradox Games, I wish they would add more dilemmas and gave more personality and I suppose emotion to the characters. Because politics in this game is sometimes... quite emotionless and I suppose boring? Also maybe add a slight amount of humor since the patricians and nobility of antiquity sometimes at least had humor.

And, I hope for the opposite: less dilemmas (at least in frequency, a little more variety would be fine) and less character-related things, more focus on the war. :-p

10/10 would pay for it mate.. This is seriously THE thing our rome needs right now

//sigh// CA can't make us all happy.
I barely get any dilemmas besides the usual ones that are not interesting and I don't get dilemmas frequently. I would like CA to allow the characters to develop relationships like what they are apparently doing in Three Kingdoms and for politics to develop into a bit of a interesting story.
In Empire Divided, the victory videos (tested Rome and Saxoni so far) have played at very low framerates (~7 fps), and then, the game crashed after the videos finished.
Edit: I have the final Saxoni auto save file if people want it to test the video themselves.

In the 100-turn Saxoni Empire Divided campaign I just completed, I had over 16 dilemmas/events, most of them before I researched the tech that reduces the dilemma chance. That seems like a lot to me.
As for relationships, as I wrote before, we have different ideas of what characters in these games should do. ;-)

For me it’s not. What is your idea for relationships? My idea of relationships is to make character feel like they are living and that they can form friendships, rivalries and maybe the occasionally “I hate you and I want to murder you one day.” relationship. Roman politics was sometimes full of that.
As for dilemmas I want more in variety and maybe a option to set frequency because I barely get any although that could be due to fact that turns take some time to complete. Rome II’s dilemmas are lacklipuster in terms of variety. I would like CA to maybe get inspired by CK2’s dilemmas/events.

Frankly, I would be quite happy if CA removed the internal politics system entirely. No relationships, no political dilemmas, no family trees, none of the stuff that's similar to CK2. TW:Attila's politics system is the largest reason I didn't play it.
CA won't remove the politics system though, and I certainly don't expect the team to do so, especially after adding so much to the system over the past year, but that's what I would like rather than CA's adding more to it.
Why isn't important right now, and there's no point arguing about it. As I wrote above, I think that we should just acknowledge that we both have very different ideas of what should be in a Total War game regarding internal politics and dilemmas. :-)
I completely agree on the first part thath there should be more dilemas and beter ones too. But the actual **** are you on about no politics systems. Rome had the senat! And every other contry used politics its not all about mindless war city empire managing is important 2.
Also something not related but in rome one there were so many more character portraits that they looked like they were real and you got attached to those characters. I dont know why but i just cant get attached to my ugly face generals. They all have the same voice and VERY similar faces which aint even interesting. CA pls add more face verietys into the game and the ability to rename characters.

The different agents for some of the factions appear to be gone. I remember that there used to be female "witch" diplomat agents for the Suebi. Now It's just "governors" or "Chieftans" and just use the Celtic diplomat model. These unique agents really helped with immersion, particularly the creepy Germanic witch, so it'd be great if you could just swap the models back to the old ones
More agent variants would be great and the lighting effects of the season seem wierd even on highest qulaity they used to look beter when ceasar in gaul arrived.
PS. Dear CA pls add children naming option it would make the game amazing. Also a limited general pool would be awesome!
One of the strategies that (I think) most human players use when a civil war is about to happen is to disband armies/ give cheap units / replace generals from the opposition parties. To avoid this, I suggest that if your relation with an opposition party is too bad you cannot to do any of these things. The opposition general is so displeased with you that he will refuse to leave his army/disband units, even if you order him to do it.
