as in the title, not always but for some women generals you cannot upgrade their skills because it is not active, for example after a battle they gain skill which cannot be upgraded because the skill tree is grey and it does not work...
This has happened twice: roman faction in Grand Campaign and one of the greek factions, in both cases every skill, the skill tree is grey not active at all, even when I turn off the game and come back it does not work, so not always and not all the women but two cases for now. Also going to the next turn does not help, so they can`t improve their skills at all. Did not happen in male generals cases and not historical women like for example Zenobia.

This is strange as women in Roman and Greek cultures are not supposed to be generals at all. There are certainly some exceptions such as Zenobia or Cleopatra. Could you provide some more details, for example, how did you get a female Roman general?
This is probably due to the Family Duty trait, right? That trait deactivates skills. Did you mod the game to allow female generals for Greeks and Romans? If so, this explains why.
(and if you want to get it working again, you have to use an editor to remove the family duty traits from those characters -- but that's not vanilla functionality).
hello guys, you are right, this is because of the mod, I have realized that too now...so I think that I will return to the vanilla concept and get rid of the mod, thanks for reply:-) And one more question about deceased family members, the portraits of them should disappear when you tick but they don`t, is it a bug or my case? salute:-)

The Show Deceased check-box is used to "toggle the portrait of characters with no living descendants on and off", as stated in the tooltip. Does it not work at all for you?
