Question about new formations (shield/hoplite wall)

Love the change that lets units run in shield wall formation! Quick question: is there any downside to always running around with them on? In other words, are the bonuses (bracing, stats, etc) still applied while running about?

    Bracing as a mechanic only happens when standing still. If you're moving, you're not bracing. Running lets you reposition yourself more quickly, though.

    Anything not related to bracing? Probably works just fine. But bracing takes effect like a couple of seconds after you issue a halt -- you'll be able to see your troops change their stance a bit.
