How to call create_agent?

In the campaign script interface, there is a function with the following description:

Command: create_agent Description: create an agent at a position. Final parameter specified whether the command goes via the command queue Usage: create_force("faction_key", "agent_key", x_position, y_position, "id", true)

(I assume that "create_force" is merely a typo.)

I have tried a number of things and could not get this function to have an effect. Could someone give an example of how to call it properly? In particular, most functions that operate on characters do not use or reference any kind of "id" field; what goes in that position? Thanks!
