Controls (Key Bindings) Not Saved

In the main screen, I change the key bindings for Attila, then saved it. I then play custom battle. Surprisingly all of the key bindings I did disappear. During battle, I change the key bindings again and saved it. After the battle end, I played another custom battle. Voila, all of the key bindings disappear again.

I tried one of the suggestion in this forum to delete the key binding file in %APPDATA%\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Attila\custom_keys

It doesn't work. So how to fix this?

Some of the buttons are also not working well, such as:

1. During custom battle setup, [increase rank] for units, cannot be pressed.
2. During custom battle, in the 3D world, when I tried to modify the controls, I cannot click precisely on the tab bars (universal, campaign, battle, advance). I had to click several pixels above it, in order to click the tabs.

Probably someone who has had the same issue.

I'd be guessing, but you could try deleting the file again, then repairing your Steam Library folder, then clear your Steam download cache, then validate your game files and re-try the game.

It sounds like your resolution may be playing up, or possibly the UI scaling.

I found out the root cause. Seems like plugging a console controller (X-box One controller) disrupts the saving and loading of custom Controls. Hence the custom keys cannot be saved or loaded properly. When I unplug it, everything went back to normal. This is something that Total War Developers should investigate as to why an external controller (via USB) can disrupt the keyboard custom controls.

As far as I know it's usually because different controllers lock the keys to suit their needs - basically they over-ride game settings.

je rencontre également un problème avec la personnalisation de mes raccourcis .
Alors que je procède systématiquement une personnalisation de touche sur l'ensemble de mes total war,rome 2 ,shogune 2 .warhammer ,etc...avec une sourie logitech G502 et son logiciel de gestion des personnalisations .
bien que j'ai désinstallé le jeux puis vérifier son intégralité via steam.
la customisation des raccourcis d'Attila ne s'enregistre pas .
