Missing agent skill tree

I have just replaced two veterans and embedded them in armies for military training. They both received skill upgrades to Lvl 2. One has the full skill tree and the other has a small blank rectangle where the skill tree should be. Therefore I am unable to progress this veteran. I went back to the point where they had to be replaced and reloaded the game. The same thing happened the 2nd time around. I have been playing Rome 2 for quite a while and never encountered this before. Is this a bug that you are aware of since the Ancestral Tree update? Has this been encountered by anyone else?
