Which Old World faction gets the update?

So I was wondering if "moons" was related to an OW faction.

The most prominent moon in the game has to be Morrslieb - do you think a VC update is likely, or dare I say it, Beastmen?

Otherwise: Orks and Goblins like to use moons in their names and iconography (Crooked Moon). In their AmA, they mentioned that they wanted to update Grimgor, so a timely GS update seems likely in general.

Which do you think is the more likely? Or do you think "moons" rather relates to a new race? (Vampire Coast?)

It might not be interesting to you, but it might be interesting to others, as the appearance of forum discussions about "salt" and possible DoW LLs suggest. Kind of. It was one of the less prominent updates, like Bretonnia. Wouldn't mind another update with a new unit, though.

Looking forward to all the entirely new speculation based on next to nothing and that hasn’t already been covered in your own thread and all the other threads since the Augtember update!

Remember they said it would be a faction we don't neccesary expect.

So that proaplly means no empire for example.

I really wonder too .... I would not be surprised if it's vc that will get the overhaul.

VC, BM or GS updates would be better i think. Empire is still a good faction and competitive in my opinion.

Aren't hints usually connected to the DLC rather than FLC?

Anyway it's probably VC since they're easiest to do.

Competitive, maybe, but their campaign mechanics are absolute ass. They have the least LLs of any core faction, their "unique mechanic" is not only quite lackluster, but has also been used elsewhere since (wood elves), there are no subfactions and their research is fairly dated. While it's possible that another faction receives an update first, the Empire needs the most to properly represent the faction.

They might play okay in multiplayer, but they eke out even the greenskins when it comes to a campaign update imo. Vampire counts aren't perfect, but they already had an update a while back.

The Empire is missing more than any other faction. It's not even close.

Not to mention that while competitive, the Empire is still lacking in quite a few areas. Their gunpowder units are all bugged, light cavalry are terrible (especially the Outriders with their repeaters acting like cut price handguns) and they're missing their exotic weapons such as the hochland long rifle, celestial hurricanum and (properly working) repeater handgun.

They said that in relation to the person asking the question. It was not a hint at who it might be. It was in response to a specific person asking saying it might not be the faction they want. And you could say that to every single person. It really doesn't give any indicator as to who it will be because no matter who it is it will be something someone doesn't expect.

If the moon is indeed a hint and not simply a fancy way to say "a couple of months", then it could be Beastmen (chaos moon events), Greenskins (Crooked Moon faction) or Vampires (the moonlit night being a typical gothic setting). So basically anything and no point in speculating.

My guess is Greenskins and most importantly Crooked Moon rework, which are in dire need of it.

Beastmen would also be very welcomed too! (where's mah Ghorgon and Jabber???)

Hopefully they leave the DLC races till last.

Orcs do need the most money put in, so now would be logical to do them. Empire or VC would also be fine.

Greenskins were where my money was at before this. Grimgor obviously needs a rework. The faction is deeply flawed in SP late game. Waaagh! AI armies are as useful as a chocolate fire-guard. Plus they did dwarfs (their chief rivals) last time.

Empire definitely needs work, but I don't see them being next. Gotta have "good/evil" balance, you know?

I would love to see Beastmen get some love and the moon comment made me think of them straight away. It is a race owned by fewer people though, I guess. I think Ghorgon is coming, one day. Maybe not this time, but it's coming.
