Losing traits for no reason

started up a fresh game this morning and within 3 battles my 3 star was a 1 star. Why are generals losing traits randomly... Taking no/minimal damage, getting 50-100 kills a battle, poof their goes their starting trait. Unplayable.

Yep, I'm getting the same. My King is losing traits that were hard won in battle like "provides security" = +2 influence, and "plays his part" = +1 influence, and +1 command.
You can even see them being gained in the records, but they just disappear.. not even a "trait lost".
