Marriage system glitched and lacks features.

Is there a way to marry family members to your party members?
CA added back the family tree, but it seems to be glitched and underwhelming. Every time a character marries, a randomly generated spouse is created for them. You cannot marry your daughters to increase loyalty of your senators/generals. We can only marry them to people from other parties.
Similarly, we can't marry the distant relatives in our family tree to each other because they get randomly generated spouses. Yet this was an era of cousin marriages.
Please fix this, CA. Even Total War Attila's family tree had a proper marriage system.

Also a side question: If an unrelated character from my party/other party marries, do they actually have children that appear in their party after 16 years, or are the spouses just for a trait bonus?
