    This is a big update. Really big. Does it mean no LP before 3K?

    I don't think it's that big TBH, no new content. I still think there's plenty of time for a LL pack.
    I would agree of it wasn’t for it probably coming out of beta in the new year according to them which would throw a huge and unwelcome spanner in the works unless early january.

    It means that there's a 70% chance that the Treeman will ignore a knock result. Basically prevents units from being "stun-locked" The 2nd part means the same thing for interrupts inflicted upon him.
    Can we get that at 100 for Grimgor? Dude's bigger than a troll after all...

    Terrible news if so as this leaving beta decreases the chances of essential lord pack arriving before threekingdoms when it is already late and should have been with the last update. Please explicitly answer this question is it going to arrive before threekingdoms so am able to either rage or rejoice now rather that later. Nobody should be liking this post at least if they have knowlege of what it might well mean.

    I couldn't care less about some lord pack when I can get important bugfixes and balancing updates instead, so I very much like that post :p

    I think a big part of what they do is collect data on what people are talking about and relay it to the devs.

    I agree some more comments would be nice. I dont go on reddit but from what I hear Grace is much more active there than Ella is here

    I'd expect it's intended to be like that. Similar to how Wood Elves rarely venture out of their forest.
    Furthermore, I consider that Daemon Prince must be removed.

    You can now actually create mock battles with just the AI fighting, nice.

    However, once such a battle ends, it immediately restarts. Should probably tweak that to give the standard results screen instead.

    I must be missing something, where is this? I can't figure out how to create an AI vs AI battle.

    However, once such a battle ends, it immediately restarts. Should probably tweak that to give the standard results screen instead.

    I must be missing something, where is this? I can't figure out how to create an AI vs AI battle.
    You have to host an MP battle and tick "spectator".

    Oh. So this limitation is intented...ok, though I'm not really fan of it. Ultimately, It makes them weaker as they can't have any backup army to protect their settlements if the only one army they have get crushed.

    Yeah it looks like an intended solution to me, considering those factions are Pirates and all. Imagine the kind of Anti-undead uproar this forum would get if Vampire Coast can build more armies and actually become a threat.

    I think Orcs and Goblins might be the winners of this patch. I really like how buffing goblin infantry also buffs their archers. Same with orcs.

    Yeah the red tree update has REALLY helped Greenskins out quite a bit.

    Now any GS lord can actually choose to buff gobbos and/or orcs!

    Definitely a huge step in the right direction!!!!!!!!

    Now they just need the blue tree revisited, some unit tweaks, and their roster fleshed out a lil more (lookin' at you, orc big boss(es), stone trolls, spear chukkaz. Their lords also need some mount revamps. MOAR CHARIOTS! And Arachnarok mount for Goblin Great Shaman! Oh, and Waaagh! reworked in such a way as to be useful.

    So yeah, I'm pleased with this patch so far. I was initially worried, but it has turned out well. Beastmen also seem to be benefiting well from the patch. Dwarfs remain strong. Not sure how Empire is taking it yet. Vampires are still redonkulously powerful. Wood Elves, despite the fears, can actually take *more* stuff now. Have not tried Norsca yet.

    I hear some lords are broken though: Throgg, Alberic, someone mentioned Isabella, Grombrindal allegedly lost his grenades, some other stuff like that.

    Great patch over all though -- just fix those bugs :)

    I am way happier/more excited to see my Old World races get brought up to snuff than I am to see any new content. Once they are brought up to snuff -- THEN I will want more content (as I actually prefer most the OW races to the NW races). Although... dear God... please give Lizardmen something soon, too? They feel so neglected. They're like... the Greenskins of the new world.

    Also, would be good to fix war coordination asap, because military alliances are totally broken right now.

    While technically that would be lore appropriate, I'm assuming it is a bug. Hopefully fixed before it leaves beta.

    Well hopefully the full patch that comes out next year will make me play my save that I have on legendary. This beta update doesnt work for me. Just sucks I have to wait longer to play my save.

    If anyone can help me fix my problem please do, because I really want to play my save. I was playing Count noctilus on legendary 233 turns in, When wood elves destory the pirates of satorsa my game crashes to the desktop. Now when I did download the beta launcher I try opening my save and it crashes to desktop in the loading screen.

    Unfortunately, the patch does say it recommends starting a new game with the patch. If it still says this when it comes out of beta then there won't be anything you can do other than start a new game. We'll see if the full patch is save game compatible.

    Can you also fix the random traits for the Norsca lords and heroes? They're still using the table from TW:WH1 which can give negative attributes or have smaller bonuses than TW:WH2.

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the main reason/excuse why they didn't want to update lord skill trees in the past was because it would screw over existing saves.

    Many thought that it was a poor excuse and CA listened, hence the current patch and just like they said, existing saves are affected. I doubt this will change with the full release of the patch.

    I am dissapointed with new Empire and Dwarf red skill trees. They were perfect. Empire had one skill for infantry, one for knights horse cavalry, one for arty and one for top tier beasts like demigryphs and tanks. And what now?! I do not see any logic. Dwarfs had good stamina skill, one skill for most of the infantry, one for arty and one for choppers. And now there is no logic aswell. Vampire Counts got the best red skill tree now in my taste. Greens are good aswell.

    For those who complain about Throgg :
    Same for wulfrick.

    It's said its buff for troll and fimir is now yellow skill line.

    Norsca seems to lose out. Spearmen units lost their +15 anti-large, zerkers are no longer +15 MA and +20% ws. Those are the ones that I noticed.
    Yup but now you use 3 skill point and not 6 to buff them. And... I don't use spearman myself. I prefer hunter and skinwolves.
    For berserker they may have less WS for sure. But overall it's fine by me as now even base maraudeur and champion have buff on WS.

    The only real nerf for me (which could not be one for other) it's the loss of MA and WS for horsemen
    The spearman skill would set their anti-large to 30. It made them very focused and often made for a good anti-bret army. I found it to be an interesting way to upgrade the unit. I am happy basic marauders get some love too. I always felt like they got left behind.

    I have seen and fought more than one Vampirate army per faction I think.

    Maybe I've missed it but there doesn't seem to be anything about Vampire Coast diplomatic standing. As it is right now isn't it that all VC factions actually hate you more that it is shown? Is that working as intended? Sorry for double posting but no one has answered me yet.

    You mean at the same time?

    Because the AI can rebuild their army very fast at higher difficulty levels.

    So I got hit with the bug where the game crashes if a VC faction is wiped, so I switched to the beta and that's now fixed (thank you CA) However due to the changes to the red skill tree Kroq-gar has lost all of his points in said tree, and since he's max level, can't get any more. I was wondering if there is something in the works to make it so points would transfer over to the new style of trees, I don't mind if it's a messy fix, I just want Kroq-gar to be good again.
