Simple question really, but one I can't seem to find an answer too. I need to recruit another lord (currently doing a Hexoatl vortex campaign) and it's going to be a Saurus Old-Blood. Does fleet-footed apply when mounted? I could see the extra 15% speed and stride attribute being very useful on a Carnosaur.

I beleive it does work with mounts. It would be a waste of skill points to take it otherwise I would think.

But I’m not 100% on that. Stranger things have been known to Happen in this game!

I don't see why it wouldn't. That is indeed a very good buff to have on a Carnosaur.

Yes it work. Moreover this trait gave no penalty on speed into the forest or water.

The traits work with or without mounts.
It needs to be pointed out that what people call "cheese" is just playing the game the way it actually exists not in some fictional way they think it is supposed to work.

So I guess it means a Fred Flintstone car type thing with his feet sticking out the bottom.
It's not a beta, just plays like one.

Pretty sure it applies to your mount as well.

Yes, it applies. I only recruit Death Hags with Fleet-Fooded, so they don't take penalties when fighting in trees while in Cauldrons of Blood.

Yes, fleet footed generals that have a monstrous mount down the line are great with it. They can ignore forest penalties and chase after routed units better. I always look for that or disciplined for generic traits.

I leveled an Old blood to unlock a Cold One; initially selecting the mount in the skill tree takes away the Strider icon, but once selected, the Strider icon returns, and reviewing the character shows that Strider effect remains.

So short answer, yes your fleetfooted lizard guy's mounts are also fleetfooted!

FYI the "Fleet-footed" trait simply gives the character the Strider ability, which is a passive bonus that ignores terrain penalties.

Corrected action is the most sincere form of apology.

    plus 15% speed IIRC

It's much easier and more fun to get engrossed in lore that takes itself seriously and tries to make sense within its own frame of reference.

the reason I prefer LOTR over warhammer fantasy and 40k

Thank you all for the responses! As an update, that particular lord on a carnosaur with fleet-footed is an absolute terror to single entities. Able to close the gap at incredible speeds he zooms around the battlefield wreaking havoc on large monsters and providing support to infantry scrums with ease.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the decision to pick him and will definitely be keeping an eye out for that particular trait from now on.
