Yeah, which is why I find that werid. The only thing I can think of is that they're going to make the Star Tower into a new province like they did for Mortal Empires with Teclis. They'd have to add another settlement like Mortal Empires or make the Star Tower a 10 slot, single city province.
I can't figure out why they did that when Skryre was down on the west coast of Lustria next to like no other lords.
Wait, west coast? On Vortex isn't that right by Khalida and Teclis, and not that far from Skrolk and Lokhir?
Skryre at the moment does start somewhat close to Teclis, and by proxy Khalida. Lokhir and Skrolk are the other side of the continent though. By moving him to the Star Tower, he now starts right next to Harkon, just north of Lokhir, and will be competing mostly with other Skaven clans for territory in central Lustria, like Skrolk.
If he had stayed on the west side, by the Chamber of Visions, he could have been between Mazdamundi and Teclis.......which I just realised might be why they moved him. Stuck between the Lizardmen and High Elves could be brutal.
Yeah, where he is currently he can team up with (and maybe confederate) Skrolk, and Lokhir and Harkon are more likely to work with the Skaven than the elves or lizards.
...man, Southern Lustria is about to turn into a **** show, just four awful dudes hanging out.
That might be the point. On the west half of Lustria you've got Mazdamundi, Teclis, Khalida and now Tehenhauin, on the east side there's Skrolk, Luthor Harkon, Lokhir Fellheart and now Ikkit Claw. That's a recipe for a WW1 scale conflict on Lustria, assuming that the buddy up together into teams.
Man, makes me wish you could have multiple players in a head-to-head match.
I'm genuinely curious, does anyone have any idea where the 4th Lizard LL will start in Vortex? I can't come up with any reasonable spots.
Albion is on Vortex, isn't it? If the assumption is the FLC lord is there in ME, it's probably there in Vortex as well.
Sorry to the handful of people really gunning for a Albion race pack, but I really hope we get a LM LL in Albion just to really change up the start of the campaign

Somebody should start up there at least, just to liven up the area.

Though if the FLC LL starts in Albion, and Ikit gets moved to Skavenblight in ME, Tehenhauin alone doesn't really fill in that big empty space of Lustria.

That's true... and that also bodes well for a faction of explorers, treasure hunters, and rogues, if such a faction existed and was looking for start locations.

The Lizard LL starting in Albion on Mortal Empires is what I expect, and I welcome that. I really don't think that would be a fun campaign though in Vortex. Where are you going to go? I just don't see that one happening in Vortex. I'm probably wrong, but I just don't see starting in Albion on the Vortex map being any fun.

Yeah... perfect for Amazons!
(P.S. this is a joke. Probably. Idk what is really possible for CA anymore)

Well, you could go south and mess with Sartosa, west to mess with the High Elves, northwest to mess with the dark elves. And of course there's some AI Norscans to muck around with. But yeah, you're in a bit of a corner there.
At this point, the addition of Albion in the last patch is actually quite suspicious. I'm really not a fan of this and i hope it doesnt happen, but it looks like the FLC might start there in ME and possibly in Vortex as well. It would be a really weird start, to be honest. I kind of dont want to see LM taking over Norsca or Ulthuan or the Empire, please no!
I agree with this so much....

"Many players cannot help approaching a game as an optimization puzzle. What gives the most reward for the least risk? What strategy provides the highest chance – or even a guaranteed chance – of success? Given the opportunity, players will optimize the fun out of a game."
Counter point: a Albion LM LL could have an early shot at getting the Sword of Khaine. March north around the edge of the map, stop to grab the sword, and then go give Tretch the fright of his life.
All the trailers and screenshots feature Lustrian style maps/terrain. They mentioned Chaqua and Lustria in Tehenhauin's background information blurb on the Steam page. They also said he is on a collision course with Ikit...who starts in Lustria. So a Lustrian start pos is 99% guaranteed for Tehenhauin imo.
Exactly where in Lustria is open to a little bit more speculation.
I personally think it will be Itza.
Itza has already been hinted at as a future Lizardmen start pos in other campaigns (such as Lokhir's for example). And I highly doubt the Lizardmen will get THREE Lustrian start positions..especially not after Albion has been added to the map. So if Tehenhauin is more or less confirmed for a Lustrian start pos, and Itza has been hinted at as a start pos, then Tehenhauin in Itza makes sense to me.
There is also this screenshot:
^^Note the YELLOW Kroxigors.
There is not a Kroxigor RoR with this DLC, which means those Kroxigors are yellow due to their faction color. I cannot think of any Lustrian Lizardmen faction banner which features yellow as a color except Hexoatl (already in game) and Itza.
So my theory is that those Kroxigors are yellow because that is the banner/faction color for Tehenhauin's/Itza's faction.
Just a guess, I could be wrong. We will have to wait and see.
Itza's colors are white. Otherwise Cult of Sotek, as seen on other units is red. Also there might be more RoR not shown that are part of Tehenhauin's special Sotek sacrifices so it isn't clear.
Also I think Kroxigors don't have their entire body recolored depending on faction color. Might be wrong because I haven't played a lot of LM.
As far as i understood, Cult of Sotek doesn't get any unique RoRs. The LM RoR's are the same factionwide. Cult of Sotek can unlock them through the sacrifice mechanic. The other factions will unlock them regularly by leveling lords.
Skaven-wise instead, the normal RoR's are always unlocked by leveling lords by all factions including Skryre. In addition, Skryre gets 5 unique RoR's that it can unlock through the Workshop, that are exclusive to the faction.
Nah, the mechanic states it's unique RoR, as someone pointed out. Maybe it's a typo but still.
Grace actually confirmed it on Reddit though. Im 100% sure LM have one set of RoR's. Tehenhauin just acquires them differently (probably quicker?) compared to the other LM factions.

So Tenhenhuain gets the LM RoR through sacrifices, but how do the other LM factions acquire them.
Wanted to add something that I noticed when messing around with Crynsos' faction unlocker.
Quetza, in the same province as Itza has the Serpent Lairs of Sotek. Its description is as follows "It is in Quetza where Sotek's followers are the most fervent. The rat men should fear the coldbloods that emerge from these lairs."
It adds leadership against Skaven and I would say pretty much confirms Tehenhauin as starting in Itza.
Also, between the Vaults of the Old Ones in Itza which adds +30 leadership against Skaven, and the Serpent Lairs of Sotek, which adds another +20, units will have a ludicrous +50 leadership against Skaven. (The +20 from Quetza is only local, but jesus. Even skinks will fight to the death with those kinds of buffs.)

Don't you have to be an elf to pull the sword? I mean, you could wait for one of them to pull it and then kill them for it.
SiWI: "no they just hate you and I don't blame them."

You'd think the Elves would become suspicious at the army of Lizardmen hiding in the bushes near the sword.

Evidence the FLC lord will be that chameleon skink? hehe

Just a bunch of Kroxigors off shore, only their eyes and nostrils visible above the waterline, watching the Shrine of Khaine.

Via Lord rank, like previous RoRs
