Do you think we will get a teaser/trailer for WH3 during E3?

Nope. Seeing as they haven't really gotten much of anywhere as per one of their last "What The Teams Are Working On" a few months ago I'd think it extremely unlikely.

given we will have more LP's for WH2 I don't see CA doing Wh2 LP promotions (let alone 3k promotions) AND Wh3 promotions at the same time.


Let alone the fact that I would assume that we have 6 months of PR since announcement for a title and that we get WH3 Fall/winter of 2020.

100% nope.

They were still barely stated in planning stage not that long ago, we still have two DLC here which will probably be 6+ months in time. There is no way this game is going to be out in 2019, and probably not even the summer of 2020 or possibly even the year of 2020.. So don't expect any kind of trailer soon.

i think you guys are forgeting that WH1 came out in 2016 and WH2 in 2017 ,in september 2019 will be 2 years since WH2 realease day

I think we are getting at a very minimum a teaser trailer

How can we get a trailer when there is nothing to show in a trailer? WH3 was still in its planning stages not that long ago. You only make trailers when there is something awesome to look at to get hyped over. Not some pre-pre-pre Alpha stuff.

Trailer? I'm not sure. Teaser? Absolutely.

CA will capitalise on Game of Thrones hype and we will get fantastic announcement cinematic for LP. Prince Imrik on a dragon burning down the city. I see it! I see it!!

That it's been a year and a half with them only telling us they're in the planning stages demonstrates that the gap between 1 and 2 is no predictor of game 3's release.

Frankly there's no guarantee TWW3 comes out Next year.

I think that late 2020 is, well, way too late to release WH3. Keep in mind that CA have been working on it since August 2018. That is almost a whole year by the time E3 starts.

It is true that when 3K was announced in January 2018 it was delayed twice, first the fall 2018 changing to spring 2019 and then to May 2019. However WH3 is not like three kingdoms, as the former would be using more or less the same form of unit collisions, campaign map style and even a few reused assets here and there. Sure the daemons of chaos is a hell of a faction to make, almost 100% unique models and animations compared to the other races, but at least CA can get away with recycling a few things for the chaos dwarfs. Overall while there will be a few mechanic changes I don't think the gameplay will greatly change, like with the additional of duels in 3K.

So actually I will say there is a good chance that WH3 would appear at E3 as a cinematic trailer. Keep in mind that we the cinematic trailer for 3K way before we saw the gameplay itself.

You're also forgetting that between WH1 and WH2 that CA didn't have all of these extra games coming out either. There was no TOB or 3k, etc to soak their time up back then. Now CA has its hands full with various projects.

In the last blog (or maybe the one before) they said they were doing the mocap for the fantasy team. Maybe they could do that mocap for a CGI trailer ?

You guys are forgetting that teasers are not trailer. Neither wh1 or 3k teasers had any sort of gameplay and came out around a year before actual release.

It’s perfectly within the time frame for a teaser announcement, even if the game won’t be released til next year.

My expecting are a teaser for WH3 and maybe something for a dlc.

I had thought we might get a trailer at E3, but now with multiple LPs announced.... Even if there are only 2 that is at least 6 months (optimistically) accounted for, and there will be a gap between the last LP and the release of game 3.

That said, WH 1's trailer dropped a year or so before release, so they could have a long build up, which would be fine as we would have LPs to keep us going.

Alternatively they might announce the next LP there, doubtful as it is only 2 months after P&W, but you never know.

Who knows. I am hoping for 4 X-LPs myself but we wiĺl have to see.

They said there are only Lord Packs...plural....remaining for Game 2. They also said there will be a pre-order bonus DLC separate from the Lord Packs....so 3 pieces of DLC total.

While CA’s vagueness technically allows for the possibility of more than 2 Lord Packs, if each one takes 4-6 months to make....3 pieces of DLC seems to be about the maximum amount that will fit between now and when most people assume Game 3 will be releasing more or less.
