A Request For Diaochan To Have Custom Artwork And Legendary Status In Total War 3 Kingdoms

So it was recently revealed, on the Total War 3 Kingdoms Dong Zhou CA stream, that Diaochan is a character in the game.

However, it turns out that she does not have custom artwork, is not a legendary character, and she uses the generic female artwork.

Now, while I commend CA including her in the game as a character, I think that the above mentioned deficiencies are not befitting a character of her status and importance in the Romance of the 3 kingdoms novel.

This is because she is supposed to be one of the most beautiful woman, in China, during the time period.

This is on top of the fact that she becomes an imperial concubine, a lover to both Lü Bu and Dong Zhou, and a master manipulator of both men.

Also, It would be really awesome to have Diaochan be one of your legendary strategists on the battlefield.

Hopefully CA can add custom artwork for her in an upcoming DLC.

When I learnd that Diaochan have generic character It was big dissapointment for me. Durning last months I seen many times that community didn't like something for e.g. unit cards, and CA responded to community opinion and give an alternative option for them. So I hope this time CA take our opinion in to consideration and in day one patch or shortly after release change Diaochan portrat to unique one.
CA please give us beautiful woman worth fihting for!

Give her a skill like "beguiling beauty" or "dance of desistance" that stops troops in their tracks within a certain radius.

Diaochan should not be a strategist. As seen in the Yellow Turban DLCs, CA can make completely new hero types. Diaochan should be a courtesan. She would be absolutely bad at leading armies and cannot duel, however when attached to nearby heroes, she will boost their morale and stats, especially if they are wed. Just like vanguards and champions can only be men, courtesans are only female.

Also yesterday, it did seem like Wheels hinted that Diaochan might not remain a generic for long.

She'll probably be part of a chapter pack. Unless fan demand for her is that high.

Personally, I think she should be a Commander. I know, making her a Commander doesn't make a whole lot of sense at first, but ignore the military connotations of the word "Commander" for a moment.

Strategists provide advanced unit formations and improved logistics, implying that they are well-versed in military strategy, right? Which Diaochan isn't, being a courtesan.

Commanders on the other hand provide increased unit morale and character satisfaction. So - from a gameplay and mechanic standpoint - wouldn't it make sense for Diaochan to be a Commander class?

Given their recent track record, I totally unreasonably expect CA to surprise us at launch with unique design for Diao Chan. You can do it CA. I have faith in you.

The game intro video will start with Diao Chan dancing on a map of China.

I suppose that could work too. Some hero types don't exactly reflect their namesakes. For example a Scholar is apparently very good at dueling for some reason.

In any case she can not be a new class. Classes are tied to events, reforms and other game mechanics. Injecting a new class would require updating all those. This is also a reason why Yellow Turbans can not hire a Han leader and vice versa.

Actually if i think about it, it would be cool if CA add Her in chapter DLC about Lu Bu, when He take over Xu Province. It would wrok if they add Her as a new hero class that focus on debuffing enemy armys. She should have pink class color and wear a pink robe.

Regarding the new class, maybe they can do class of characters that can only present in court, that don't lead armies nor can administrat a commandry.

Wheels said there are no generic female champions. Same with Sun Ren who's the only female vanguard.

Also it saddens me that Dong Zhou tends to die long before he can interfere with the Coalition. Make her a character whose relationship with Zhou and Bu span over some 10 or 20 turns at least.

I don’t know if it’s an absolutely must.
She played a very important role but only for a brief period.

I think a lot of arguments could be made for heroes fighting on the battlefield over her.
And yes the solution is to make more unique and legendary characters but that would take a long time
