game freeze on copyright screen

i got shogun2 for my buddy in order for him to enjoy this wonderful game and he cant get passed the startup screen. found many online forum with the issue but no clear resolutions.

i know hes running a gtx 960 and an I5. it meets the min spec.... anyone have a resolution we can try?

If you're on Windows 10, make an account on the Xbox app. Have the Xbox app running in the background along with Steam before launching.

If it works then, well and good. If it doesn't - 9apps

game.exe and/or EFLC.exe - Right Click 'Properties' and tick 'Disable Fullscreen Optimizations'. vidmate

In Steam, right click the game and select 'Properties'. In the 'General' tab, select 'Set Launch Options'. Use these parameters [[-nomemrestrict -norestrictions -novblank -percentvidmem -availablevidmem 2048]] (Copy the content within the double brackets).
