How likely is it, now that Gor-Rok is only FLC, that we see his iconic 'Shield Plant' animation?

whether it be linked to a triggerable ability or as a automatic 'brace' animation?

I think it's just as likely as if he* were in the Lord Pack.

    *Do saurus have gender?

It would probably just be either his idle or brace animation.

Well you can try to ask the person who invented the Lizardmen or write to Games Workshop.

    @GN93

No he wont because he gets a mount he never had so nobody needs this animation.

Gor-Rok is likely to get a shield plant animation just as Vlad is likely to get a two-handed sword.

He will probably be the disappointment of the latest dlc/flc. Footlords are useless unless they are Throgg-sized or snipers...

    *Do saurus have gender?

No. They have some masculine secondary sexual characteristics, but no reproductive organs.

Gor-Roc should be almost the size of a Kroxigor, not quite as big, but he should be something inbetween infantry and monstrous infantry in terms of size. At least that's what I remember of him. Also his lore is pretty much based on how immovable he is, so his mass should be absolutely absurd.

It took a dozen Kroxigors to carry the stone his shield was cut from too.

So if we be generous and assume they only used a third of the stone, he has the strength of four Kroxigors.

Gor-Rok is an absolute monster of a Saurus.
I really doubt the shield was a third of the original stone. A dozen Kroxigor's wouldn't even have room to hold it :P.

I think describing his shield-plant animation as 'iconic' is a misuse of that word tbh.

Both he and Grimgor (as well as the Dwarfs to an extent) should get knock back immunity, stunlock prevention. Chariots and HPAboms are meant to hurt them selves when coming into contact with these bruisers. For Gor-Rok's size, probably somewhere between Kroq-Gar and Grimgor In stature, and he needs to be beefier than Kroq.

Holy crap, even the book can't decide whether it should spell the name "Gor-Rok" (first instance, top of page) or "Gor'Rok" (ever later instance down the page).

    i hope you're right.

and to whether or not Saurus have gender; they are clearly very masculine, along with being called Lizard*men*
Are you implying that there are no female Englishmen? :P

In the 7th & 8th Lizardmen codex it doesn't say the stone was used for anything but the shield, and i don't see why intelligent & precise Skink artisans would request more stone than what was necessary. (that's taking into account the excess stone needed that comes with any crafting/carving process)

It's refereed to as a 'massive artifact' that took 'generations of Skink artisans to carve it'
Well yeah, but it also doesn't say most of it was used. Looking at the size of the shield, Gor-Rok and Kroxigors, you wouldn't even be able to get a dozen Kroxigor's to fit lifting a stone of that size. So the volcanic stone's original size would have to be big enough that 12 Kroxigor's could lift it together.

Likely they spent generations carving it out of something so large and then using that for something else (statues? smaller weapons?)... Or what is more likely is that it was fluff designed to sell his miniature and Army Books typically like to embellish quite hard. :P.

Gor-Rok is easily the strongest Saurus. What makes him deadly is that he has the strength of a Kroxigor with the mind of a Saurus and the blessings of the Old Ones (Albino). That is a lot of strength being applied by an intelligent mind.

You could easily say the same things for dwarf and orc lords especially Grimgor, but still they fly better than chickens.

Well, if they do add a way for Gor-Rok to not get flung around...

We all know how many Workshop mods will appear for everyone and their aunts.

Seeing how CA has handled other FLC lords im betting he is gonna dissapoint a ton of fans... I mean out of all the FLC lords for WH2 the only even remotly good FLC lord was Alith Anar the rest have been just bad. Im excpecting a mediocre Gor-Rok at best.

The Lizardmen are like Greenskins, they are technically sexless, but they tend to look masculine and they use male pronouns, they don't need genders because they spawn from pools.
