Slaan Rework confirmed on stream

You can get them earlier now. Rite of awakening gives dilemma for which lore they have.

When it spawns it gets a "Generation Trait", 4th, 3rd or 2nd Gen. Unique trait for each. Seems like they get bonus experience at beginning when armt raised too.

    Yeah that's sad, but they did say they would listen to feedback so hopefully will be reintroduced.

    They probably figure that since Skinks have the Lore of Heavens, people wouldn't want it on the Slann too.

    However, if the Slann characteristics make it worthwhile, then there's no reason why Celestial Slann shouldn't be a thing.

    Life slann is pretty stronk for LM. Lots of units with big health pools and single entity dinos.

    I think it's a fine idea to separate lores between Slann and Skinks. I'm also glad that they finally changed Slann.
    Any comments on the Geomatic Web? That's my last gripe with LM.

    Lol no. Slann should be the one unit in the game that has access to any lore (basics plus high.) Skinks with magic should only be last resorts or when its too early in the game for Slann.

    Tbh Elven mages, or at least Lord variants of them (hopefully WE and HE will get that soon) should get access to all base Lores too, but yeah Slaan should get all normal Lores.

    I think removing Slann with lore of heaven was a bad move.

    I get the whole "what if I have a skink with that lore why do I need a slann?" but what if I wantr an army with just a slann and no skink.

    Options. The more options the better. I still think there should be a kroxigor ancient hero version, not just lord.

    Why shouldn't the greatest mages in the world have access to all of their lores? The only faction in the game that surpasses the Slann in number of usable lores of magic is the Wood Elves (all 8, High and Dark). Right now Slann are sitting at about half strength magic wise, and the faction as a whole is still missing Metal and Shadow.
    Plus this decision literally takes away an option players had. It's a net gain, but we've still lost something.

    giove them and madza and kroak greater arcane conduit please only the necharch lords have it in SP and that not how it is in lore

    I cannot imagine this being much work since the slann have it in MP already AFAIK

    It's much easier and more fun to get engrossed in lore that takes itself seriously and tries to make sense within its own frame of reference.

    That would definitely be a decent compromise to get around the dilemma limit.

    I would suggest that the dilemma just give you 4 randomly picked lores out of the 5 Slann can currently have. That would be a decent bandaid until game 3, when I assume CA will fix that limit and actually give the Slann metal, shadows, and death.

    I would suggest that the dilemma just give you 4 randomly picked lores out of the 5 Slann can currently have. That would be a decent bandaid until game 3, when I assume CA will fix that limit and actually give the Slann metal, shadows, and death.
    Pretty much what I was thinking. Some people might not like the RNG aspect, but it would make sense that they wouldn't have perfect control over which Slann is awakened.

    We're getting a Lore of Fire Slann? My Chotec army just became perfect.Soon the enemies of the Old Ones will burn! The stench of charred rat will fill all of Lustria!

    Also really excited for the Lore of Life Slann. Just imagine how much of a solid wall Saurus will be when supported by a real healer. I hope it is a lovely shade of green.

    Knocking out a lord type over this, is one of those stupid decisions that should have gotten internal feedback, and never made it to the public.

    People are always stupid some of the time. Designers need QA to go WTF over ideas like this, like writers need editors to point out the five line sentence with ten comma's and fifty typo's.
