In ProgressMultiplayer Campaign Load Bug

Issue - Both my friend and I are unable to load saves when doing a multiplayer campaign. We were able to start campaigns in both head to head and co-op, but if we tried to load a save it would load a lobby set to easy difficulty with no factions on either side. It would be locked in head to head, and if we tried to change the type it would freeze the game and force close it. We tried with both myself and him loading and it wouldn't work for either.

Reproduction steps - Just resume as host for any save file for multiplayer.

I am unable to attach a save file as it says the file type is not allowed. Let me know if there is any change I can make to the file to be able to upload it.

Same issue here. Can load multiplayer campaigns before the patch just fine, but anything after is unable to be loaded.

Was playing Nakai with my friend playing Khatep.

I do not own Tomb kings expac, they do not own The Hunter and the Beast DLC.

Hi all,

The initial query is to make sure your all running the same build as a build conflict can cause this issue to occur.

If this is not the case can you please provide us with the following files from both Host and Client PC's:

Save Games
DXdiag's
Preferences.Script's
Modified.Log files
What DLC's you both have

I have the same problem with a friend. We played the last few months coop campaigns. This error/bug occured for us with the release/patch of the last DLC "The Hunter and the Beast". Is there something like an explanation where I can find those files?

I know where the Save-File is but I have absolutly no idea of the rest (I'm stupid in such things )

The preferences script is in a folder called scripts which should be just below your saved_games folder and the modified one is in a folder called logs which should be a little above the saves. To obtain a dxdiag type dxdiag in the main windows search box then double click to run dxdiag.exe, then save the results to your desktop from where you can drag and drop into a post.

Save files should be uploadable as zips if nothing else - it may be a size issue. CA is not supposed to visit third party upload/download sites.

I own the Hunter and the Beast DLC, my friend does not. My friend owns Tomb Kings DLC, I do not. We've both checked our game versions and they are identical.
https://puu.sh/EgcgN/b496eaf244.jpg This is the screen both of us see when we try to load a multiplayer campaign. Hitting the return to menu button and then trying to load -any- campaign afterwards just results in a 'Campaign failed to load' error, including prepatch saves.

@Kuronuts - Can you please make sure the save and files are all uploaded via our upload tool, we unfortunately cannot accept third party file hosting sites.

@Tesco - we'd require your friends files also.

Have any of you tried just backing out after getting into the campaign screen where you'd invite the other player? It will let me back out but then I can't host a new game or even see any others. Clicking any button except the back button crashes it.

Yep have the same issues. Tested it already with a friend. The thing is if we tried to load a save game. It won't show up at the normal multiplayer campaign menu. It showed at custom battles as land battle with 5k funds. Dont know why but its kinda funny. I think it has to do something with the last patch. But I trust in CA that they will fix it

Me and my buddy just de- and reinstalled the whole game, no luck still. ME and Vortax campaigns cant be loaded

So I got the new DLC. Super stoked. Now, when my friend and I are playing I am unable to load any previous save games. I can host a new game, but every time I try to load it in another play session, it goes to the multiplayer game start screen, but doesn't load all the graphic elements (can't see my profile box) and freezes doesn't fully load. If I try to change any settings via drop-downs, it freezes then crashes the game. This has affected all multiplayer saves, and started happening ONLY after the new DLC.

I would upload the appropriate files, but looks like a few others have done so already. Eagerly awaiting the fix on this one.

The only difference between what my friend and I have installed is he has the Beastman DLC and I do not. Otherwise all DLC and installs are identical.

Hey, same here. Me and my friend started playing yesterday and today the multiplayer menu is not working fully when whomever is trying to host. Then when trying to change Game mode from "Co-op" to "head-to-head" crashes the game. Same with other options; unit size, turn time etc.. and you can't invite your friend there, it just takes the friend to Battles -mode and crashes the host.

E: We only have the normal version of the game and WH1 with the free DLC:s and no mods installed.

I have the same issue. Me and my friend can´t load multiplayer campain. I hope CA will fix this bug fast.

Same game issue. Multiplayer save can't be loaded after CA added the last DLC.
