Random CTD Every 5-10 Minutes: Campaign Map, Battle... Whenever

edited October 2019 in Crashes
Game randomly crashes to desktop, with no error message. Sometimes I can play several turns, and sometimes it'll crash at the end of a single turn. These crashes are VERY persistent, and I can usually play no longer than 5-10 minutes at a time. I'm not using any mods.

So far, I've tried...
-Running steam, and the game, in admin mode
-Making sure that the firewall permissions allow for TWW2
-Running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and Vista
-Running the game in both versions of DirectX
-Checking my hard drive for errors
-Moving the files to another hard drive to try running it from there
-Running a virus scan to be sure that my computer is clean
-Verifying the game files through Steam
-Updating graphics drivers for my GeForce GTX 1070
-Disabling anti-virus and firewall
-Renaming the Warhammer2 folder
-Making sure the "fx cashe" folder is empty (there was never anything in it to begin with)
-Disabling the Steam Overlay
-Disabling GeForce Experience Overlay
-Rolling back my GeForce GTX 1070 driver to 24.21.13.9907
-Rolling back my GeForce GTX 1070 driver to 24.21.13.9924
-Playing on Medium graphics settings
-Playing on Low graphics settings
-Praying to the God of War to have mercy on my soul

Edit: I'm just going to keep editing this list with things that I've tried until this is fixed.

This is pretty accurate for me as well. It doesn't look like a solution has been found yet.

Now it's frequently restarting my computer. I really want to love this game, but the stability is TERRIBLE. I've never had a problem like this before with a game.

After veryfing the cache, on next game restart steam decided its no longer downloaded. Steam help said that it will locate the game instead of installing. Well nope - im at 3rd game reinstall this week and im spending more time trying to get this game stable than playing.

There has to be a specific issue as lots of players play without crashes, and for some of us it's a crash-festival.
