Wood Elves "teleportation" mechanic

Personally, I think that all of the wood elven settlements--athel loren, heart of the jungle, and laurelorn--should be able to be traveled between by woodelves--or potentially by whoever owns the settlement, but more likely only woodelves. this would be one step in updating their race mechanics. i'm not 100% sure this is a good idea but i think it's worth considering.

Agreed... Teleportation between Elven Settlements should be a thing. Remove their World Roots (Underway) mechanic and replace it with this.

Get rid of their "Outposts" and replace it with an Underway version of "Outposts"

I agree with this. Wood elves really struggle in Mortal Empires because they can't really hold lands away from Athel Loren very well. Introducing a World Roots mechanic that allows them to bounce from Athel Loren to another major wood elf forest they control or to an outpost with the right World Root building built would make it a lot more viable for them to exert power over a wider area without ever really leaving Athel Loren as their primary power base.

Eventually CA should rework Underway/Worldroots/Beastpaths to each function like their supposed to.

Underway: Pre-existing network of tunnels used by Dwarfs. Should act as a secure highway granting increased movement speed on the campaign map and be safe from interception. Cannot be used everywhere, only in entry/exit points to the underway (so likely very common paths in the mountains and fewer paths further away from the mountains). Possibly include a mechanic of expanding the Underway by rediscovering and repairing damaged tunnels.

Worldroots: Effectively teleportation using the magic of the Oak of Ages and its roots. Can be accessed only through certain entry/exit points along the still-living roots and safe from interception. Can be gradually expanded by returning the Oak to life and restoring its roots. This would help with the isolation of the Wood Elves by letting them travel farther the longer the campaign goes on to conduct raids and safely return through the roots.

Beastpaths: Network of deep-trodden ruts in the ground through Beastmen-infested forests that act as highways. Should act as a highway granting increased movement speed, but be vulnerable to interception (they are only hidden, not deep underground or magic). Should be the most easily accessible of the three because Beastmen are almost everywhere (except places like mountains, deserts Lustria, etc.). Could also include the possibility of colliding with another Beastmen tribe going the other way (in the lore, Beastmen Tribes frequently collide while traveling in opposite directions and the leaders butt heads until one is dead or unconcious). This could cause a dilemma where you either yield and turn around or fight and potentially take on parts of the defeated army as your own.

I think these would be much better and more interesting than three of the same "teleport wherever I want" stances that exist now.

Yeah I made a post on this a few months ago as well:

    https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/248898/wood-elves-outposts-and-the-worldroots-how-to-improve-their-campaign#latest

Also, someone on my post pointed out that Someone had made a similar post about a year ago too:

    https://forums.totalwar.com/discussion/236016/lets-make-woodelves-great-again#latest

I was more open in saying that CA could go multiple different directions with it, but I really like the fixed teleport positions the other person lays out.

Either way, CA should be more than aware of this request by now, we just have to keep pestering them until they update them :p

This discussion has been going on since the moment underway mechanics were announced before game 1 even launched.
