Fire mage now does look cool!

Still would have prefered actual Dragon Mage, but what can you do. It appears that Imrik starts with friendly relationship with Caledor (possibly non-aggression pack). As a Czech, I am not good at Polish language, but whatched it anyway just to see what to expect from Imrik. Love Imrik's voice.

Pics from the video:

The final rose has faded,
The eaves will sing no more;
The waxen ground will keep you bound,
Death-pale until the thaw.
Then she placed the rest of Orion's ashes into the bowl and turned to face the Oak of Ages.
I used to go by many names here. Crazycrix, Dubinekdubajs, Yrellian and finally Ariel, one of my favourite characters in the setting. Still waiting for Finubar and Naieth!

Teeny bit disappointed he's in a Vortex campaign, but not unexpected.

His Dragon Princes look absolutely beautiful.

Just added picks for those that are not interested in Polish language (can't blame you  ) and it appears he starts with non-aggresion pact and military access with Caledor.

They're like those of Teclis, just darker. I'd have prefered something more different. But that's easy to mod.

It should be titled 'Książę koronny'(the Crown Prince).

Can someone tell me what changed in appearance of Fire Mage? Still, I cry for Caledoriaan robes!

P.S. Excellent voice, ah my Prince!!!
P.S.2 Imrik doesn't refer to himself as 'the Crown Prince'. Unplayable.

the armor seems new and the collar, look new to me, but maybe my eyes play pranks on me.

Now it doesn't matter from which faction the mages are as the lore of magic is the thing that defines the look of the mage. So this coloured fire mages should be for all factions.

On 11:10 there is a mission that gives you an option to confederate Caledor. Sack, raze or Occupy 6 settlements.

Oh whoa he starts with his unique horse! I'm really glad as thought I'd never end up using it. These days I never bother unlocking the lower mounts; which is a shame really. Don't want to waste skillpoints though.

Yeah I was talking about the recolour - it looks good and there was no recolour for fire mages in Loremaster's video, so it must be a new thing. I was not expecting any new model, as that would go beyond what CA does for flc stuff.

Honestly, that's why I resisted taking away mount prerequisites so much. The higher-tier mounts are certainly worth multiple points, and prerequisites meant that the lower-tier mounts at least get some play along the way. Also helped give some advantages to foot lords, at least in campaign, since they had more skill points they could afford to spend elsewhere and that was more likely to be an even trade (as opposed to spending one skill point and jumping straight to a dragon, mammoth, or similar top-end mount).

Such a missed opportunity to have a visually distinctive Dragon Mage. I really hoped they would have made him Male too.

Mounts not requiring the previous mount was a terrible change. Now no one takes the early mounts because they don't want to 'waste' points.

The mounts should cost currency not skill points, and more lords should get access to mounts.

All thanks to the stupid unchained skilltrees. Now there never is any point in choosing lower tier mounts.

Yeah it's abit stupid. They should copy age of wonders: plentfalls method. Add some extra incentives to take the mount traits; maybe some bonus large or something - something to represent the effort the LL put into learning that new skill. Purely so each trait is relevant beyond just taking the mount and there is incentive to take the earlier ones.

Imperial Wizards are meant to look different. It would've been nice to see a Dragon Mage officially, but that is the only one who really stands out.

It would be weird to see all the elven mages just copying the imperial wizard looks. Surely that would be beneath them? :P.

Yeah but that was back in the day, when they were not doing the whole factions reworks and could spare resources to add uniquely looking mages for the Empire. (They got no FLC lord because of that, so maybe some people would be more happy with FLC lord, instead of every possible wizard variant. Funnly or rather sadly enough, we are still missing gold wizard and all 8 lord variants of those mages)

Yeah, that's an alternative I've put forward myself. Problem with the current system is that efficient skill allocation for the long term is to ignore mounts until you can get the best, and then once you do it's usually the most valuable skill point on that tree by a significant margin.
