Dragon Prince Lords?

Firstly I'd just like to say a huge thank you to CA for outdoing themselves again. Personally I think that every DLC has been better than the last, with 'The Warden and the Paunch' being the best one yet. The quality and polish of the whole DLC, the exciting cinematic trailer and the sheer quantity of improvements and content in the FLC is fantastic.

With such a huge player base and community, I'd almost say that it's impossible to please everyone in deciding what content comes next. With many having strong but divisive views, which don't always come out in the best possibly way. Thank you for simply seeing the fandom and passion behind it all, while continually creating more content and stories for this world.

Regarding the post itself..

Imrik on his dragon prince mount "Mautererius", looks incredible and is one of the best looking models in the game. It is almost a shame to ever 'upgrade' his mount option to the star dragon "Minathnir". Are there any plans to have a generic Dragon prince Lord/Hero like VC Blood Dragon equivalent?

Obviously, I'd really love for that to be the case or something CA would say they'd consider, but what does everyone else think? Would you like to see it become an option or do you strongly believe otherwise?

I don't think they'll make a Dragon Prince lord current bet is on a Lothern Sea Helm lord due to missing units and current HE characters ingame.
So...the Light's vaunted justice has finally arrived. Shall I lay down Frostmourne and throw myself at your mercy, Fordring?

I think that it is possible that one day, maybe in Game3 when the HE get their rework then Drakemasters can become generic lord option.

If Kroxigor Ancients can get the upgrade from unit champion to the lord leading an army, then I’d say there’s more than enough justification for Drakemasters. Maybe even White Lion lords too, unless that would infringe upon Alastar’s territory.

Without a doubt, hey, I wouldn't mind if CA go crazy and make White Lion characters ride lions.

What would make him different from generic Princes?
They have horse-mounts and dragon mounts?

Also, you are asking for a Dragon KING, no? :P

Also, if such a Lord would be in....why do you need the Prince?

Let's say that he would start on a horse, buff Caledorian units and provide fire attacks or some other mumbo jumbo. Pretty much thematic generic lord with no special depth.

Any normal prince(ss) on a dragon is a dragon prince(ss). It would be cool to have regional lords, but that hasn't been made yet. A separate dragon prince(ss) lord type would be redundant, as it would be the exact same as a regular prince with different appearance only. In an ideal game I suppose it would be cool if princes and nobles from Imrik's faction and Caledor had a more dragon prince like aesthetic.

Again...you just add on top of the prince, making the prince redundant?

You could give him a lance and make him anti-large, but even then...
There needs to be a downside to him compared to the prince, not just something, that makes him better?

They can be limited to Imrik or a new rework mechanic that might come in Game3. It's more about flavour than utility.

Given we have princes/princesses with dragon mounts and a 60 influence themed dragon trait, I doubt we will see or need a Dragon prince lord since it sounds like just cosmetic difference.

Would much rather see them implement a weapon system, so a Lord/noble could choose to wield a Great Weapon/sword and shield/lance ect., but that might be a game 3 wish.

I see your point, but in my opinion it isn't about the high elves 'needing' a Dragon Prince Lord, more so that, as others has said, to provide a deeper variety and flavour to the HE. To use a slightly tenuous example, the VC didn't 'need' five different types of vampire lord, but their inclusion greatly enriches the VC campaign. As such, I think that the inclusion of a Dragon Prince Lord (And a White Lion Lord for that matter) with their own slightly unique skill tree's and varied mount options, would do the same for the HE.

With that said, I love the idea to be able to customise Lords as you suggested but also feel, as great as it is, that it would be a step further than simply adding Lord variants, which I imagine to be quite a simple addition? I also don't see the two as mutually exclusive, rather than the two additions complementing each other.
