Hey guys,
I have been thinking like the most of you about the probably last LP for WH2 wich should come later this year. (Sep-Dez)
I myself believe that CA wants all WH2 core races up to 6 LL and WH1 core races on the Vortex.(no source just my opinion)
This would give us a dilemma, because there are 4 LL missing then. So this got me thinking how CA could go with this problem.
My first thoughts were about a SK vs DW with DE FLC but this would leave the VC missing. Maybe they could give them a FLC, but i didn't believe that.
So then i thought about maybe they will give the VC with the pre-order, but that would mess up the with my thoughts about the Pre-Order.
The Pre-Order I think will be the WE vs BM rework. I think here we will get 2 reworks, because in my opinion the BM rework is done with the WH3 rework of Chaos, or so i hope. The BM need only a rework for there horde mechanic and more units. At least that's what I think. The WE are in need of a new Amber mechanic and more technology. Also i think there settlements mechanic needs a rework. So from the 2 DLC Races the WE need more a rework, but the BM are in need of more units. That's why i think that these 2 reworks at the same time could be possible, especially if the next LP doesn't have a rework.
So if I go with my idea of the pre-order, that would leave 4 LL for the last LP.
In a different post about the LP for WH3 I talked about the idea of an 3 LL LP and that could fit here as well.
CA could test this system and can make the last LP special for WH2.
My choices in this LP would be DW vs SK vs VC with DE FLC.
The DE are the FLC because there roster is mostly complete. The LL I see here is Rakarth the Beastmaster.
The choice in my opinion is obvious. With the Shadow and Blade LP we got the Beastmaster Lord and Hero, but Malus doesn't belong to them. So this would fit perfectly. As for the starting position in the lore he would start in Karond Kar. That could be possible, but that would only mean another starting position for the DE near Naggarond.
Personally i think he would fit in the Blood Hall Coven. There he would try to hunt after new Beast. (So like Imrik with the dragons). Maybe give him both locations like Malus.
This goes for ME and Vortex.
His objective in Vortex would then be similiar to Imrik, so to help Malekith win he the race for the Vortex.
For the Skaven I see there only Throt with Clan Moulder. Clan Moulder is heavenly featured in ME and within Eshins campaign. Also most of the missing monster units for the Skaven would fit perfectly here.
His special campaign mechanic (the breeding pit) I would like to see a combination from Groms Cauldron and Ikit's Workshop. So you can breed stronger Ratogers if you have excess to exotic animals for example.
In the lore he has connections to Clan Pestilence. This could be his motivation to get in the Vortex campaign. Not to partake there but to help Skrolk win the Vortex. I think of an delivery system. So for example Skrolk needs more Ratogers that are stronger than normal, so you must breed 4 of them in your breeding pit.
His starting positon in ME is clear, Hellpit. In Vortex i would like to see him on Albion. He would give the HE a proper fight for Ulthan and can also go to Naggarond or the southland if he wants.
The Dwarfs I think should get Thorek Ironbrow. From the lore point of view he search in the lost Kingdoms for ancient runes and artefacts. Also he wants to reclaim all the lost Dwarven kingdoms. So his motives could be to help the three dwarven kingdoms on Vortex to survive. His final objective then could be to collect three artefacts from this Kingdoms. (Greybeards Prospectors, Karak Zorn and Spine of Sotek)
His unique campaign mechanic could be a the Anvil of Doom. Here he could make runes for his units wich would buff them or nerf the enemy.
He's a traditionalist so you would have to pay more upkeep for thunders and canons. For new units it would make sense to give him the Rune guardians maybe even rune golems.
In ME he should start at Karak Azul. This would be a very hard starting position with all the Skaven, GS and even HE(Imrik) near him. His goal here is to defend or reclaim the lost dwarven Kingdoms.
Last but not least are the VC with my choice Neferata. I know many of you guys would like to see her in WH3 or even in an new race (Nagash), but i think she would best fit in WH2.
First of let me say that I don't like the idea of another undead faction. Nagash should in my opinion not be an LL to start with. He should either be an event like Chaos in WH3 or a goal for all Vampire faction to resurrect him. With that said here are my ideas for Neferata.
Here motivation is clear from the lore point of view. She wants to reclaim the city of Lahmia and then spread here empire. So this should be here goal for the campaign. Her special mechanic should focus on spies. In the lore she sends her vampires to all nation to spy for her. The more spies you have in a faction the more you see there movements. Maybe you can even attach your spies to army of the enemy an can have them spawn on the battlefield for you.
For units there could be the coven throne, abyssal Terrors and spirit Hosts and maybe peasants levies(after they die they resurrect as zombies)
In the lore she owns the silver pinnacle. This is where she should start in ME. Maybe CA could extend the map a little in the Darklands to give her more room. She could have a mechanic like Skarsnik where she must own Lahmia to be at her best.
In Vortex she would also need to conquer Lahmia and maybe destroy the Tomb Kings mostly Khalida. Her starting position there is difficult but she could start in Lahmia with the sole goal to destroy Khalida.
The connection between the LL are the dwarven kingdoms for Thorek and Neferata, as she owns a lost strongehold the silver pinnacle. The Beasts for Skaven and the DE. The hate between the Dawi and Skaven.
This is my idea for the "last LP" for WH2. What do think? Do you agree with me, do you even like the idea?

0 · Disagree AgreeFor core races we are as well not sure. 4x chaos, Ogres, Chaos Dwarfs but missing any good guys. TEB/DoW is easily 4 LL faction. We well see a lot LPs ...Middenheim/Boris, Aislinn/Finubar, Dwarf, lizardmen...Thanquol, Nagash..
But I can say that core definitely won´t be 4x Chaos Gods. People like good, humanoid races, you need some. And for many Chaos gods are very similar stuff....We will see how CA will handle this

1 · Disagree AgreeI think the pre order bonus will have somethng to do with Nagah or the Vampire Counts because CA have been adding Vampire Strongholds to the map since The Shadow and The Blade with no Vampire Count Lord insight.
The Shadow and Blade added Nagashizzar and Fotres of Vorag
The Warden and The Paunch added the Marshes of Madness
The only Vampire stronghold left is the Silver Pinnacle, which is Neferata's stronghold.

0 · Disagree AgreeBut Norsca was playable in WH1 campaign and the WH2 campaign is Vortex. That's my main reason Kislev would be a bad pre-order.
