Unless CA outright comes out and says WH3 will not be an epic exclusive, I have no reason to trust them. They slyly avoided the issue with 3K back when people were asking about it, simply wording it that 3K would release on Steam, but no denial of it going on Epic. My assumption is that there were possibly talks of this as early as 2019, back when 3K was delayed, but the deal was not made possible due to the possible huge amount of backlash on a MAJOR title that was already being delayed. Now they can do it with a SAGA title that had little to no interest from the players.

There is a possibility that WH3 might release for Epic exclusively and all of the previous base games to allow for the combined map to be included if you buy it there, while the DLC's are still up for sale, or you can grab 1 of each title for free.

I tried getting back into CK2, but after Total War, I can't handle battles that are entirely based on RNG and a series of modifiers it's nigh impossible to find and figure out.

CK3 battles look to be more streamlined, but basically the same thing.

I'd like to share with you my concerns and why I'm so scared because of the latest news with Troy.

Some of you maybe don't know what happened with the Metro franchise and EGS so here it is.

Before the latest title, Metro Exodus, the previous two games, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light were on Steam. The third game was also promised to be released on Steam too since the announcement, with available pre-orders and everything.

And yet.... with less than THREE WEEKS before the game's official release, EGS apparently offered a ****-ton of money to make the game exclusive on their platform for a whole year!!!
And you will now ask, what happened to the pre-orders? Well, these people were lucky enough to have it on Steam since release.
But for the rest of them like me? Epic was our only option. Needless to say that I indeed waited for a whole year so I can have it on Steam.

I repeat, less than three weeks before the official release. Do you understand? This is why I'm **** scared for the future of WH3 now.

Epic could very well offer you the previous two games with every dlc for free if you buy the third game, they are famous for these kind of deals.

Mind you if they offer huge amount of cash for the exclusivity, it won't be CA's fault probably, but Sega's. Because the same stuff happened with the developers of Metro, the publishers made that decision.

Seems like a good thing then.

CA gets guaranteed cash, EG burn through cash, Steam might even lower its take but ultimately EG will fail.

Win win.
