Warhammer 2 Black screen after loading

To anyone who can help.

I bought Warhammer 2 not to long after it came out and had great fun with it, however I experienced some crashes during the game, I later bought a more powerful graphics card to hopefully fix the problem as well as some other bits for my computer. The new parts for my computer allowed better performance for the total war titles at the time and did not effect them.

After doing this however I was unable to play Warhammer 2 at all, whether it is a custom battle or a campaign, either the eye of the vortex or the mortal empire's.

Upon loading of the game I am presented with a black screen where only the cursor is visible to me, I hear no game sound and am unsure what is coursing this as I have to exit the game via task manager therefore I get no error report.

I don't know if this will effect anything but I don't use a dedicated PC monitor, I use a 49" LG TV, I add this only to cover any possible problems.

I hope some one is able to help with this.
